"Time moves slowly, but passes quickly."
{Last week: Scroll to end and click "Older Posts" at bottom right.} On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020.
Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and posterity to come.

Love you both bunches
Jennie is just back from
5 days in Missouri and
Arkansas...
at Adam-ondi-Ahman
...and to visit one of
her daughters who just
moved to Bentonville,
Arkansas.
It's that very first city
on the top left of the map.
Jeanie and Faye just had a fun
girls' time in St. George
with daughters and
granddaughters--
ten total of them.
These photos are from
Jeanie's face book page...
St. George...
The city is300 miles south-southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah, on Interstate 15 and 118 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada.
As of the 2020 U.S Census, the city had a population of 95,342,
with the overall MSA having an estimated population of 180,279.[5][6] St.
George is the fifth-largest city in Utah[7] and
most populous city in the state outside of the Wasatch
Front.
The city was settled in 1861 as a cotton mission, earning it the
nickname "Dixie".
While the crop never became a successful commodity, the area steadily grew in
population. Between 2000 and 2005, St. George emerged as the fastest growing
metropolitan area in the United States.[8] Today,
the St. George region is well known for its year-round outdoor recreation and
proximity to several state
parks, Zion National Park and The Grand
Canyon. Utah Tech University is located in St.
George and is an NCAA
Division I institution.

to Scotland today.
Jeanie said she and
Steve had a great trip
to Scotland and Ireland
a few years ago. Steve
had served his mission
in Scotland.
LeAnn recently got to go
on a cruise to Alaska
with her kids
Sue will be going to a
quilting shindig in November--
I think Lake Powell...not sure.
Faye and Lerl are going with their
kids on a Mexican west coast cruise
for Christmastime
I wonder how many countries
and states our lunch bunch
gals have been to...combined?.
Meanwhile back at the ranch...
...in our corner of the world:
Saratoga Springs, Utah
Famous for the...
Ad from 1927...
7 Kiddy rides, and
Merry-go-Round, Ferris Wheel...
Even a Tunnel of Terror...
Back of the headstone in Lehi
of one of the two
Eastmond brothers who
owned and ran the resort through
the 1950s to 1990s.
In 1995 the resort and land were sold
to the group that wanted to develop
the land into a residential area.
And that's more than
you wanted to know about
our little corner
of the world.

Salt lake City...
Then June 16 we drove
back to Idaho where they
had a
"Honeymoon Suite"
designed for us in Walt's

Our wedding reception was

I had two high school best friends,
two college roommates,
and my sister...
Ramona, Lucile, Izabel,
Sonya, and Janice.
Walt had a college best friend, Ted,
and two cousins, Gene Prescott,
and Jimmy Prescott.
His brother would have been
his best man, but Dale was on
his mission in Argentina.
from the reception...
Walt was all smiles when the
festivities were over...
*looking for photo
Then Walt worked a week
for his carpenter Dad,
June 19-23, 1961
Photo after a hard day's work...
He earned gas money to drive
back to St. Louis, MO,
and enough to rent a U-Haul
to take old furniture our
folks gave us, along with
our wedding gifts.
On the way we
stayed over one night
at Yellowstone Park and
counted that as part of the
honeymoon...
1963 - M.D.
Started our family
1961-1966...
Missouri, Minnesota,
Oklahoma, then back
to Idaho . . .
7 babies in 11 years
1963-1974
Time flies when you're
having fun!
All of a sudden it was our
25th Wedding Anniversary...
June 14, 1986
Our kids were growing up...
three had flown the nest,
and the other four would
follow in the next 6 years....to becoming grandparents
1988-2014 =

Julie's face book post
tonight about Riggy...Wow, that was fast! I blinked and my
bonus baby turned 9. It was an unusual birthday because we were at a family
reunion in Bear Lake but luckily he didn’t mind because he fell in love with
the place. (He wants to move there.) I love this little guy and I’m grateful he
showed up to be a part of our family.

** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational. At the end of this September 3rd,I pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment. He knows what our potential is.*** *** ***Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.*** *** ***I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
*** *** *** *** ***Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.*** *** ***President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world. *** *** ***The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.*** *** ***The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today. Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.*** *** ***Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
