Last night, my mom reunited with her
sisters and parents. Though it’s hard on me, the reunion in heaven was magical!
I have a testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ, the Atonement, and the Plan of
Salvation. I love you mom!
Here are my comments...of the 115, and over 200 likes.
Kenna and I were kindred spirits from the time we first met in 1966. I'm so thankful Gary drove me to Burley to be with her last Saturday and we talked about that pact we made 40 years ago with each other for whoever "graduated to heaven" first. Family is forever and so are friends. May the Savior's arms encircle Neal, Alison, you, Robyn, and all her precious posterity at this sacred time.

the helpers...
Thanks, Ruth! You have been a wonderful friend

(Ruth came while we were getting
dressed so I didn't get a photo of her.
She had to leave to go to Eola Luke's
funeral in Murtaugh.)President Tracy King came to help dig out
our trampoline that we bought in 1977.
The roots had grown over the bar
in the ground.More roots on the other side, too.Julie is thrilled that it came apart
so nicely. Now this old tramp will have a new
life in Utah.Dan Murri said: "You really did
put down roots here!"Did I already say:
"Many hands make light work."These next photos show family, friends, neighbors,
ward members hard at work helping us carry
the rest of our furniture and things out
of our home here to take to our home
in Utah.
Kathy Marker has helped us several times.
This is only about half of the ward memberswho came to help us... Left to right in this photo:
Dan Murri, Clark Farrer, Christian Jackson, Robert Watts,
Brody Jackson, Cade and Mandy Jones,
Emily and Michael Hill.
Also helping but who were taking things
to the landfill or D.I.: Steve Ormond, Bishop Steve Gerratt, Blake Chapman, Eric Pierce, Kathy Marker, Alan Fluckiger, President Tracy King, and others...
It's true--"many hands make the work lighter."
Janie just sent this better photo of some of those
who were able to come and help:
Thanks, Ali, for helping me with the names.
We so appreciate all the help ingetting us packed up to move
and then unloaded in Utah!
WE WILL MISS YOU!
Several came by to tell us "Goodbye,"Ruth Melling, Diane Fluckiger, Sherry Ormond, Three of Janie's classmates came: Becky Ralphs, Corine Larsen, and Christine Willich Heiner. (I've forgotten married names of the first two.)
Becky's Mom, Charmaine Ralphs, also came.

Janie took the photo of us all.
Dave and Marilyn Gibbons came by before he leftfor his 1-every-fourth-Saturday shift at the temple,(along with his Tuesday and Wednesday shifts) asone of the Assistant Temple Recorders at theTwin Falls Temple.Connie had told us there were a lot of
sealings scheduled for today "8-18-18."
I think Jen, Julie, and Janie have photos of this they will e-mail to us.We pulled out 7 minutes before our goal of12:00 Noon.I think our five kids there cried more than we did.Janie, Gary, Steve, Julie, and Jen.Julie took a video of the house as she pulled away, saying:"Goodbye Burley home. You were a great place to live!"
At our family reunion July 5-6-7 this summer,
Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, and Jen
lined up by their lockers in the back storage room.
Now the rooms are empty...WEPR - 7-7-2018
Lived here May 1971 to August 2018 = 47 years.
Lived in Burley 1966-2018 = 52 years.
We lived at 2341 Burton Avenue 1966-1971.
(The Gibbons bought that home from us.)
This has been a wonderful home to raise our family. We have many sweet memories.
We are happy to now rent it to a wonderful family --Josh and Alison Burgess who have
four darling children: Celes, Evie, Kaleb, and J.J.
Ali's Mom, Valerie Bame, is with them in the photo. It takes a heap o’ livin’ in a house t’ make it home, A heap o’ sun an’ shadder, an’ ye sometimes have t’ roam Afore ye really ’preciate the things ye lef’ behind, An’ hunger fer ’em somehow, with ’em allus on yer mind. It don’t make any differunce how rich ye get t’ be, How much yer chairs an’ tables cost, how great yer luxury; It ain’t home t’ ye, though it be the palace of a king, Until somehow yer soul is sort o’ wrapped round everything.
Home ain’t a place that gold can buy or get up in a minute; Afore it’s home there’s got t’ be a heap o’ livin’ in it; Within the walls there’s got t’ be some babies born, and then Right there ye’ve got t’ bring ‘em up t’ women good, an’ men; And gradjerly, as time goes on, ye find ye wouldn’t part With anything they ever used—they’ve grown into yer heart: The old high chairs, the playthings, too, the little shoes they wore Ye hoard; an’ if ye could ye’d keep the thumbmarks on the door.
Ye’ve got t’ weep t’ make it home, ye’ve got t’ sit an’ sigh An’ watch beside a loved one’s bed, an’ know that Death is nigh; An’ in the stillness o’ the night t’ see Death’s angel come, An’ close the eyes o’ her that smiled, an’ leave her sweet voice dumb. Fer these are scenes that grip the heart, an’ when yer tears are dried, Ye find the home is dearer than it was, an’ sanctified; An’ tuggin’ at ye always are the pleasant memories O’ her that was an’ is no more—ye can’t escape from these.
Ye’ve got t’ sing an’ dance fer years, ye’ve got t’ romp an’ play, An’ learn t’ love the things ye have by usin’ ’em each day; Even the roses ’round the porch must blossom year by year Afore they ’come a part o’ ye, suggestin’ someone dear Who used t’ love ’em long ago, an’ trained ’em jes’ t’ run The way they do, so’s they would get the early mornin’ sun; Ye’ve got t’ love each brick an’ stone from cellar up t’ dome: It takes a heap o’ livin’ in a house t’ make it home. Now we leave it . . .
Goodbye 2457 Burton Avenue...

SATURDAY, AUGUST 19, 2023 Family is Everything… The well-written obituary
for my dear Burley friend
is online today:
Kenna Anderson Wyatt
May
22, 1943 - Aug. 17, 2023
Date
of Service: Aug. 26, 2023
BURLEY – Kenna Anderson
Wyatt, an 80-year-old resident of Burley, passed away Thursday,
August 17,
2023.
She was born May 22, 1943, in Burley, Idaho, to her wonderful and loving
parents, Samuel Robert and Dora Lyons Anderson. They brought her home to an
over-joyed older sister, Barbara “Bobbie.” Two years later the family was
complete when her younger sister, Tauna, was born. She attended school in
Burley and had a great childhood. The family went on many vacations together.
She graduated from Burley High School as the salutatorian in 1961 and went on
to further her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She
graduated with a degree in elementary education and a minor in math.
She met her husband, Neal, on a blind date and they were married for time and
all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple on June 24, 1965. They made their home in
Burley where Kenna began her teaching career. Neal was also a teacher and coach
in Oakley. Kenna was his biggest fan and rarely missed a football or basketball
game that he was coaching. They were the proud and very supportive parents of
three girls, Alison, Candace and Robyn.
Kenna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
and she served in many callings over the course of her life. These callings
included Primary president, Young Women president, and ward librarian – a
calling she loved. However, her favorite was serving as an ordinance worker in
the temple. Kenna and Neal served as ordinance workers in the Twin Falls Idaho
Temple on Friday mornings and cherish the friendships they made there.
The highlight of her life was her family. No matter what sport or activity her
grandchildren were participating in, she was there! Often on the road to
Worland, Wyoming, Idaho Falls, or just across town in Burley, you would find
her at basketball and volleyball games, swim meets, music performances and
dance recitals. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she was very
proud of them.
Kenna was an amazing cook, known for her fudge, caramels and divinity. She also
made the best cheese potatoes and homemade rolls. She was an incredible
crocheter, and made afghan blankets for all of her grandchildren and baby
blankets for many friends and family members. She liked to watch football games
and tennis matches. She was a true blue BYU fan and watched every game she
could. She also loved to watch game shows and put together puzzles - the harder
the better!
Kenna taught fourth grade for more than 30 years. She taught at Dworshak
Elementary and White Pine Elementary schools and she had treasured friendships
with the teachers at both schools. As a teacher, she was invested in each of
her students’ education, not only while in her classroom, but as they continued
on with their education and lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, S. Robert “Bob” Anderson and Dora
Lyons Anderson; and her two sisters, Barbara Morgan and Tauna Myers.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Willard Neal Wyatt; three
daughters, Alison (Scott) Rydalch of Idaho Falls, Candace (Tracy) King of
Burley, and Robyn Jones of Worland, Wyoming; her grandchildren, Jenna,
Creighton, Cambree, Jared, Sakoya, Jordan, Kennadee, Kayson, Saige, Janeal,
Kaia, Justin, Denali, Kestlé, Derringer, Wynter and Wyatt; and seven
great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 26, at The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints - Pella 2nd Ward, located at 160 W. 400 S., of
Burley. Burial will be at Pella Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, August 25, at
Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley, and at the church
on Saturday, from 10 until 10:45 a.m.
A webcast of the funeral service will be available and maintained at
rasmussenwilson.com.
Condolences for Kenna Anderson Wyatt

Kenna Anderson Wyatt
May 22, 1943 - Aug. 17, 2023
Date
of Service: Aug. 26, 2023
BURLEY – Kenna Anderson Wyatt, an 80-year-old resident of Burley, passed away Thursday,
August 17,

I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment. He knows what our potential is.*** *** ***Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.*** *** ***I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
*** *** *** *** ***Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.*** *** ***President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world. *** *** ***The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.*** *** ***The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today. Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.*** *** ***Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.Sun Rise 6:49 Sun Set 8:07xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
