Note from Eileen: You will notice I call my blog: "Traces of Time..."
On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020 at age 86.

Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 9 spouses married to our grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 due in April and posterity to come.
So our posterity now numbers 66. Number 67 due in April.

Why do we have leap days?

While leap day seems like an ordinary addition of a day to your calendar, it is much more than that. A day is added to our calendar every four years to help sync the journey of Earth around the sun with the seasons. Earth takes just under 365 1/4 days to complete its orbit around the sun, according to timeanddate.com. However, the year has 365 days. If we don't add this additional date or observe leap year every four years, then our seasons would be thrown off, as our equinoxes and summer and winter solstices would no longer align with the seasons. If there were no leap years, the seasons would completely swap every 750 years - there would be winters in the middle of summer.

Fabulous indeed is our Heavenly Father's Plan!

The more we learn about it, the more we understand.

Father gave us power to choose, a gift He did bestow,Then sent us down to Earth to see which way we would go.

Our loving Savior's Atonement opened up the gate;

Now our actions will determine what will be our fate.

The choices that we make while we’re on this earthly plane

Determine what reward we’ll earn, forever to remain.

There are blessings that will make our mortal life complete;

The same blessings that will make eternity more sweet.

The celestial kingdom is our cherished goal, and we will find

We must keep celestial thoughts always in our mind.

“Think celestial”, we were told - transforming us within;

Making prayers more sincere, as we turn away from sin.

When we “think celestial”, making changes one by one,

Father will be pleased with us when mortal life is done.

Steve picked me up at 4:45 and we...
...rendezvoused with Gary...
...at Kneaders in Pleasant Grove.
Steve got a salad.
Gary got a turkey sandwich and beef stew.
I got their yummy...
...potato-bacon soup and bread.

They had some elegant...

Isaac's play was at Timpanogos High School at 7:00.
"She Loves Me." Isaac is playing the lead chacter Georg Novack.

They testified of
The Savior,
Heavenly Father,
the Holy Ghost,
the Book of Mormon,
the Temple.
Steve Larasen said the
Covenant Path is not dirt...
It was paved by the Atonement
of Jesus Christ.

Sunday School
Clyde Witham is a
dedicated and
inspirational teacher.

He helped us know how to
understand the words of Isiah.

It's nice to have a few
minutes to talk to

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today. Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.

In the Good Old Summertime** is a 1949 American Technicolor musical romantic comedy film directed by Robert Z. Leonard. It stars Judy Garland, Van Johnson, S. Z. Sakall, Spring Byington, Clinton Sundberg, and Buster Keaton in his first featured film role at MGM since 1933.
The film is a musical adaptation of the 1940 film The Shop Around the Corner, which was directed by Ernst Lubitsch, starring James Stewart, Margaret Sullavan, and Frank Morgan, and written by Miklós László, based on his 1937 play Parfumerie.
