Note from Eileen: You will notice I call my blog: "Traces of Time..."
On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020 at age 86.

Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 9 spouses married to our grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 due in April and posterity to come.
So our posterity now numbers 66. Number 67 due in April.

  Family is Everything...**
  Just a reminder that our new course of study begins tomorrow (Tues. Feb. 6th) at the Centennial Building RS room. We meet from 10:00-11:15 AM. Tomorrow we will be learning what our prophets have to say about our Mother in Heaven.

Our new course will be a sweet experience (and may I add for men and women!) as we look closely at many women who serve as great examples for all of us. We will learn from the attributes and contribution of women mentioned in all four of the standard works of the Church.
“The lives of women in the Church are a powerful witness that spiritual gifts, promises, and blessings of the Lord are given to all those who qualify, ‘that all may be benefited’ [Doctrine and Covenants 46:9]” (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, “The Influence of Righteous Women,” 7).
We sincerely hope you will join us for the next few months. If you've been gone for a while, we'd love to have you join us and bring your friends. Giving an hour more each week to study and learn will be a great blessing in your life.

We were in this quiet room at
a long table on the far right
that you can just see the
corner of.
We all commented on the
large portions of the lunch specials.
\The egg drop soup was yummy.
I got sweet 'n sour chicken--
as did Kaye, Sharon, Linda
and some others.
I had already eaten three
pieces of chicken when I
remembered to take a photo.
Shauna got Seseme Chicken.
She said the Spring Roll was
the best she's ever had.
Nadine got Egg Foo Young.
It's also called a Chinese Omelette.

I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this February 11th,
I pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.
He loves us just
as we are at this very moment.
He knows what our potential is.

Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.

I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead.
Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."

Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.

President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.

The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today. Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.
