TUESDAY, JULY 20, 2021 Family is Everything... Walt and I felt so blessed to be able to have children.We had a daughter first, then a son. I remember driving homefrom the hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and saying to Walt: "It's so nice to have a little girl and a little boy!" Then we had another boy, then another boy, so it was nice to have another little girl for Janie to have a sister. Then we rounded out our family with another boy and another girl. We said: "Seven is heaven!" and called it good.

Walt said when we were driving Janie to
BYU for her freshman year, he wonderedto himself: "Have I taught her everything sheneeds to know? Have I prepared her to havefaith in Jesus Christ...to be 'brave and strong and true'?"And then he felt the same as we drove Gary, Steve,David, Julie, Brian, and Jen to BYU in Provo.Now as they are adults with children of their own,we have been blessed by each one for being so kind, caring, and compassionate to us.I can see in my mind's eye how Walt is smilingdown on them from heaven for taking such good care of me.And I am thankful for each one, plustheir wonderful spouses and children.Thank you children and grandchildren!Here's the photo from our WEPR(Walt and Eileen Petersen Family Reunion)the last time all together with Grampa PetersenJuly18, 202134 days before he died.

One of ladies sent this to the R&R General Manager:Dear Friends,It was wonderful to see and visit with you all today. I was disappointed in the food today. I've been to R&R in Pleasant Grove and it was not as good today as then. When I asked a few others about their meals, they had the same opinion as me.
I decided to let R&R know how it went today and sent them an email through their website under "contact". I don't have access to that email now but I told them I was contacting them through this source instead of a review because I have had positive experiences with them before. I said my brisket was not tender like I've had before. Someone else had pork that was not as tender as it should be expected. Another had tough chicken, and another had toppings so salty on her baked potato that she quietly scraped them off to eat just the potato.I received this reply: I am terribly sorry about your experience today at the Lehi R&R. I will absolutely
follow up with our pit boss and our cook to make sure they are following
procedures to ensure that we have tender meat and are offering the best
barbecue in Utah.
As an apology I would like to offer you a gift card so your ladies group can come
back out for another try and so we can show you that we have the best barbecue.
If you would please respond to this email with your mailing address, I will get
a gift card in the mail to you. If you have any other concerns, please feel free
to reach out to me and I will do whatever I can to help you.

Family is Everything...
Walt and I felt so blessed to be able to have children.
We had a daughter first, then a son. I remember driving home
from the hospital in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, and saying to Walt: "It's so nice to have a little girl and a little boy!"
