Today Janie, Aimee, and Heidi came to see us and to help sort some more items from our basement.   We're always so happy to see our oldest daughter and her daughters.  Aimee is here staying with her parents while Michael will be out on a deployment.

I wanted a photo of these beautiful gals by the daisies.
They helped pick the cherries that are ripe.  But most of the cherries need another week or so to be fully ripe.

Grampa started jitter bugging with Aimee in the kitchen.
No music, I heard Aimee say: "You've stillgot it, Grampa!

Over years Grampa has jitter bugged with most of his granddaughters here in our kitchen.

Then Ruth Melling picked us up, along with Ken and Bonnie Hansen, and drove us to the Golden Corral in Twin Falls where we rendezvoused with other friends and neighbors, Dave and Marilyn Gibbons, Ken and Bonnie Fronk, Scott and G'lenn Bloxham.

Ruth hosted a "Going Away Dinner Party" for us there.
It's always delicious food at Golden Corral.

Second row: Dave and Marilyn Gibbons, Ken and Bonnie Fronk, G'lenn and Scott Bloxham, Bonnie and Ken Hansen.
One of the servers took this group photo for us.
Thanks, Ruth, for planning and hosting this great farewell dinner party for us.  And thanks to all you neighbors and friends for coming.

This
So fun to have Reed and Phyllis Petersen, and LeRoy and Carol Petersen Ward stop in to see us.
Patriotic Empty Nesters' Family Home Evening
at the Roskelley's...
MaryAnn loves the 4th of July--her favorite holiday.
And with Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Father's Day, she
chose to go red, white, and blue.

For the "lesson" the Roskelleys did an American History contest with the couples.  We knew a lot of the answers and learned a lot from the ones we didn't know.
In town and able to attend tonight were:
Bonnie and Ken Fronk, MaryAnn and Darrell Roskelley,
Walt and Eileen Petersen (Eileen in next photo), Ken and Bonnie Hansen.

TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 2018

We had a great Institute class today.
Nancy Blauer demonstrated the General Conference talk by Dallin H. Oaks "By Small and Simple Things" how, after 104 steps the painting of this Light House she painted came to be.

Sister Blauer is a great teacher, and also a great painter and artist.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 20, 2018

Today our nieces, Ruth and Trisha, along with Cheyenne, Victoria, and Benny stopped to have lunch with us in Burley.  Dale and Connie drove over from Twin Falls to join us.

Here are brothers, Walt and Dale.  Ruth and Trisha are Dale's daughters.  We wish Heather could have gone with them.

Ruth and Trisha are taking a 2-week road trip through Idaho, then up to Canada stopping to see cousins and an Aunt and Uncle along the way.
Hope you have a great trip!
...and be safe.

SUNDAY, JUNE 24, 2018

Our Ministering Teachers came this afternoon.
They left inspirational messages, and
helped me with my iPad.

We pray you have had a restful

and peaceful Sabbath Day.

We testify that...
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.
Heavenly Father lives and loves each one of His children on the earth.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and also lives and loves each one of His brothers and sisters on this earth.  He
is our Redeemer and Savior because of His Atonement for each one of us.
We are preparing for His Second Coming when He will rule and reign in righteousness.
Joseph Smith is the Prophet of the Restoration.
The Book of Mormon that he translated and had published is Another Testament of Jesus Christ.
The Bible is a Testament of Jesus Christ.
President Russell M. Nelson is the living Prophet for the whole world today.

Of these truths we add our testimony at the end of this
