At my age my doctor

likes me to be under 8.0.

Riana was a great nurse.

She did the finger stick for my A1C

and the flu shot without any pain.

My A1C is 7.7. Which is up

from7.5 in July and 7.4 last April.

But I was afraid it might be

up to 8.0 like it was in Jan 2023.

Family is Everything…

 I just got a copy

of our friend's obituary.

Sharon and Sandi were friends

from Highland High School in

Pocatello, Idaho.

Sharon brought Sandi

was well enough to come.

In Loving Memory of...

Sandra Lynne Warren                                OCTOBER 6, 1948 – OCTOBER 23, 2023

In Loving Memory of

Sandra Lynne Carlsen Warren

Sandi was born on October 6th, 1948 in Pocatello, Idaho. While surrounded by loved ones she returned to her Heavenly home on October 23rd, 2023.

Sandi is survived by her cherished and substantially large family, who were the heartbeats of her existence. She leaves behind her beloved husband Norris Kip "Kipper" Warren, the love of her life. Her memory will forever be carried on by her children: Beau (Leslie) Warren, Brittany (Jeff) Jacobson, Bridgett (Bricker) Thorpe, Brandi (Jason) Snyder, and Benni Warren. Additionally, she leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by her boundless love.

She is also survived by her dear siblings: Christine “Krissy” (Kevin) Warren, Stanley "Skip" (Debbie) Carlsen, and Dennis “Denny” (Kimberly) Carlsen, as well as stepmother Margene Carlsen, sister-in-law Nancy Carlsen, and brother-in-law Tommy Floyd who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Melvin Carlsen and Marjorie Bosquet (Parley) Swainston, her brothers Richard “Rick” Carlsen and Stephen “Barry” Carlsen, her sister Terry Floyd, and her cherished best friend, Becky Hepler.

Fondly known as Mama2 to many, Sandi's devotion to her family was unmatched and they were the crowning achievement of her life. She was a proud and steadfast member of the LDS church, finding solace and strength in Jesus Christ.

Sandi's spirit was adorned with a love for song and dance. She had a talent for organization and a passion for crafts. The temple was her sanctuary, where she felt closest to her Heavenly Father. Witnessing her children embrace parenthood brought immeasurable joy to her heart.

The laughter of a child and the fragrance of the forest were among her cherished delights. She had a gift for listening to life stories, finding beauty in the lessons learned along the way.

A beacon of love and kindness, Sandi's legacy will resonate through the lives she touched. Her affection for her dollies and the soothing embrace of the beach were testaments to her gentle spirit. Lilacs and yellow lilies were her favorite flowers, their bloom mirroring the radiance she brought to the lives of those she held dear.

A viewing/celebration of life will take place on Friday, November 3rd from 6pm-8pm and again Saturday, November 4th from 10am-11:45am. Funeral services will commence at 12pm. These memorial services to celebrate Sandi’s life will be held at her LDS church house: 1273 Regal View Dr, Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045.

Graveside Service will take place Monday, November 6th at 11am at Utah Veterans Cemetery 17111 south Camp Williams Rd. Bluffdale, Utah 84065.

We thank all those who have reached out with support and love during this time. May she rest in eternal peace, her memory a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.

Family is Everything…

 Just found out that

Kimble and Maddie

got engaged...

Hidden Treasure in

the ocean...

Cute story about the ring.

This is a marble stone.

Which is rare to find.

Maddie found it on their first date

in Kodiak and gave it to Kimble.

He made it into a ring for her.

He made a miniature treasure box.

Took it to sea cave where they snorkel

now in Hawaii with the ring in it.

He secured it under a rock.

They dove down and she found it

(with his help).

I can't get the video of it to load.

BYU Football Cougars vs

Texas Longhorns

at Austin, Texas

Texas is favored to win by 20 points.

They are ranked #7 in the nation.

Final score: BYU 6 - Texas 35

We lost by 29 points.

Info from Wikipedia

"The Texas Longhorns are the athletic teams representing the University of Texas at Austin. The teams are sometimes referred to as the Horns and take their name from Longhorn cattle that were an important part of the development of Texas, and are now the official "large animal" of the state of Texas. Generally, both the men's and women's teams are referred to as the Longhorns, and the mascot is a Texas Longhorn steer named Bevo. The Longhorns have consistently been ranked as the biggest brand in collegiate athletics, in both department size and breadth of appeal.

The Longhorn nickname had begun appearing in Texas

 newspapers by 1900."

We had family representing us

at the game Saturday. My sister's son,

Scott lives in Austin.

And Janice's daughter Sarah, and husband,

Kenny Day, went from Pleasant Grove

to Austin for the game.

Exciting times...

the Cougars lost the football game,

they all said they had a great time together.

* *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this October 29th,

I pray you have had a

restful , peaceful, and spiritual

Sabbath Day...

I share these truths as my testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.
He loves us just
as we are at this very moment.
He knows what our potential is.
*** *** ***
Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.
*** *** ***
I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead.
Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."

***  *** *** *** ***
Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.
*** *** ***
President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.
*** *** ***
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.
*** *** ***
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.  Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.

*** *** ***
Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
