Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and posterity to come.

It's still cold today.

The life of Queen Elizabeth II was remarkable in more ways than one. Born on April 21 in 1926, she was the longest-reigning British monarch in history upon her death on September 8, 2022, at age 96. She also holds the distinction of being the fourth-longest reigning monarch of all time worldwide, having spent 70 years on the throne.

In 1945, before she became queen, Elizabeth joined the women's Auxiliary Territorial Service (a branch of the British Army) and trained as a truck driver and mechanic. She was only 18 years old. Just under 10 years later, she was crowned as Queen Elizabeth II, beginning a reign that for most citizens of Britain and the Commonwealth is the only one they’ve ever known. And in her time as monarch, she worked with 14 British prime ministers, from Winston Churchill to Boris Johnson.

The monarch’s life was marked with moments of great joy and fanfare, but also great tragedy. In times of crisis, she never wavered. Even the staunchest anti-royalist might begrudgingly agree that Elizabeth showed a fierce and unfaltering dedication in her role as queen. As the following quotes show, she was always ready to show support in times of need with words of wisdom and empathy, or with witty remarks that showed that even the Queen of England can have a sense of humor.

New Temples announced at

the last General Conference 

Oct 2022

We currently have 168 operating temples and 53 new temples under construction and another 54 in the preconstruction design phase! I am pleased to announce our plans to build a new temple in each of the following locations: 1.Busan, Korea; 2.Naga, Philippines; 3.Santiago, Philippines; 4.Eket, Nigeria; 5.Chiclayo, Peru; 6.Buenos Aires City Center, Argentina; 7.Londrina, Brazil; 8.Ribeirão Prêto, Brazil; 9.Huehuetenango, Guatemala; 10.Jacksonville, Florida; 11.Grand Rapids, Michigan; 11.Prosper, Texas; 12.Lone Mountain, Nevada; and13.Tacoma, Washington.

We are also planning to build multiple temples in selected large metropolitan areas where travel time to an existing temple is a major challenge. Therefore, I am pleased to announce four additional locations near Mexico City where new temples will be built in 14.Cuernavaca, 15.Pachuca, 16.Toluca, and 17.Tula.

which I was dreading,

but it's good to have

it over.

weeks after Grampa Albertson

had passed away on Feb. 6, 1982

at age 69 from colon cancer.

10 1/2 years younger.

My Mom had complications 

when I was born and her

doctor told her she would

probably never have any

more children...so they

considered Janice their 

miracle baby.

grew up that in 1973

we would have babies

three days apart...

albeit this was my

sixth baby and it was

Janice's second baby. 

I was age 34 and

Janice turned 24 

 two months after 

Vickie was born.

be with lots of family...

 David & Julie invited us to dinner.

Jen and Sarah have been in

Utah for a couple of days and

are flying back to Minnesota tonight.

It was wonderful.

...along with preparing

delicious meals.

** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this March 26th,

I pray you have had a

restful , peaceful, and spiritual

Sabbath Day...

I share these truths as my testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  

He loves us just 

as we are at this very moment. 

He knows what our potential is.

Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.

I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. 

Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."

Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.

President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.

The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.  Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.
