"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at
twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning
stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep
your mind young." – Henry Ford
A reminder
"We believe that the creation of a woman was the
crowning and final and most glorified moment of human creation. That we start
with dark and light and
land and sea and we move through fish and fowl and
beasts of the field and we get to Adam and it’s still not
good enough.And only
when Eve was created- this is
our theology- That is our theology that the
crowning
creation and glory of the human experience came with
the creation of
Eve." -- Jeffrey R Holland

Family is Everything… Elder Michael FisherElder Fisher: Mission week 8 – 2023 March 30
Janie Fisher
Hope everybody had a good week : )
Elder Fisher's Highlights of this week:
- Brazilian pizza can have chocolate in the crust and it's mad good. I bought a whole pizza Friday after we had a day of all “no’s”. Ate it all in one sitting.
- We have two people now in the teaching pool. (Better than the zero we started with). One is Humberto, he requested info via the Church’s Come Unto Christ website. It was awhile ago, and he didn’t want to let us in, but Elder Herman asked if we could just come in and say a prayer with him. We ended up staying for an hour and a half. He is looking for the true church. He is studying many different religions and says he hasn’t found it yet. We’ll be meeting with him again this week..."

Saved· "An affecting, singular story...a bracing tale of life on the edge of death." —Kirkus Reviews
· When veteran war reporter Benjamin Hall woke up in Kyiv on the morning of March 14, 2022, he had no idea that, within hours, Russian bombs would nearly end his life. ... Google Books
· Originally published: March 14, 2023
· Author: Benjamin Hall
· Genre: Autobiography
"In December 2022, Benjamin Hall received the Foreign Press Award. Fox News President and Executive Editor Jay Wallace accepted Hall’s award on his behalf, but Benjamin Hall did give a recorded speech saying in part, "Thank you very much for this award tonight. I do think that this is not just an award for myself. It is an award for Pierre and for Sasha, who both died during that attack and also for every other war correspondent who has been injured or killed covering conflicts..."
And despite the attack...I think it is essential that people continue telling the news, telling the stories from war. I think that that’s the only way we truly get to understand the atrocities, the disasters and the horror that’s happening out there. And only then perhaps can good things can change come from it.
And this is also about celebrating the people who came in to get me and to save me, the people who put me back together, who built me despite all my injuries. And when I look at all those people and what they did and I’m reminded of how much good there is in the world, there was evil there in Ukraine that hurt so many people.
But there is good and there is more good than there is evil. And we have to continue trying to fight to get that news out as well. People are knocked down. I myself was knocked down.
But I know for certain now that you can pick yourself up again and you can try even harder to do what is so important, to keep telling the truth, to keep telling the stories and encouraging everyone else to do the same."
On January 26, 2023, Hall returned to live television after months of being off the air while healing from the attack on March 14, 2022. He said that he returned with no feet, one fully workable hand, one eye, one fully working ear, and one leg.
During the interview with Fox & Friends he announced that he wrote a book about the attack and the resulting months of healing called "SAVED: A War Reporter's Mission to Make it Home". The book was released on March 14, 2023, the one year anniversary of the attack.

Living the Gospel
Welcome Jesus into Your Life General Conference
April 1–2, 2023
General conference is an opportunity to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how living it can increase your hope, peace, and joy. Join us Palm Sunday weekend to hear from His chosen leaders.
193 Annual
General Conference
Elder D. Todd Christofferson
Today is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week, marking the Lord’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His suffering in Gethsemane and death on the cross just days later, and His glorious Resurrection on Easter Sunday. Let us never lose the overwhelming joy we will feel once again on Easter as we contemplate His victory over the grave and the gift of universal resurrection.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are invited by Him to be one. Becoming one is a recurring theme in the gospel of Jesus Christ and in God’s dealings with His children. In our extremely contentious world, how can unity be achieved, especially in the Church where we are to have “one Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4:5)? We are too diverse, and at times too discordant to be able to come together as one on any other basis or under any other name. Only in Jesus Christ can we truly become one.
Unity does not require sameness, but it does require harmony. We can have our hearts knit together in love, be one in faith and doctrine, and still disagree on political matters, the athletic teams we support, our food preferences, and any number of such things. But we can never disagree or contend with anger.
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ bears witness that, bound to Him by covenant, we too may overcome all things and become one.

Anger never persuades hostility builds
no one, contention never leads to inspired solutions. As disciples of Jesus
Christ, we are to be examples of how to interact with others, especially when
we have differences of opinions. True disciples of Jesus Christ are pacemakers.
We cannot support Satan with our verbal assaults and then think that we can
still serve God. Contention is a choice, and peacemaking is a choice. You have
your agency to choose contention or reconciliation. I urge you to be a
peacemaker now and always. If your verbal arsenal is filled with insults and
accusations, now is the time to put them away. I bless you to replace
belligerence with beseeching, animosity with understanding, and contention with
peace.
General Conference, April 2023,
Russell M. Nelson

Sunday Afternoon SessionPresident Dallin H.
Oaks
“We believe in Christ!” President Oaks opened
his message with these empathic words. He focused his talk on a selection on
the words of the Savior—what He said specifically. Here is a short selection of
some of the scriptures President Oaks shared.
Quoting Jesus: “Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called the children of God.”
The Savior said, “Love your enemies, bless
them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which
despitefully use you and persecute you.”
Jesus said, “If ye forgive men their trespass,
your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
The Savior said, “Love your enemies, bless
them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which
despitefully use you and persecute you.”
Quoting Jesus: “Whosoever liveth and believeth
in me shall never die.”

Great Plan operational. At the end of this April 2nd,I pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment. He knows what our potential is.*** *** ***Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.*** *** ***I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
*** *** *** *** ***Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.*** *** ***President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world. *** *** ***The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.*** *** ***The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today. Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.*** *** ***Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
