Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 on the way, and posterity to come.

THIS WEEK
JUNE 20-26, 2022MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2022 Family is Everything Sunrise: 5:56 a.m. Sunset: 9:02 p.m.Every 90 days my podiatrist checks my diabetic feet. Kenidi is the gal who took my blood pressure and updated my medical chart, and trimmed my toenails. Elli, the P.A., did a final trim on my toenails, checked my feet, and gave me medical instructions. She drives to Dr. Rogers' office in Saratoga Springs from Spanish Fork.
Dr. Rogers is just in this new Saratoga Springs Office on Mondays. It's at the crossroads of Redwood Road and Pioneer Crossing.
Then I drove over to the Willow Creek Urgent Care Clinic on the west side of Lehi. It was just opened in 2019.My regular doctor, Dr. David Kimball, is there. He saw me two weeks ago for this cough and prescribed a Z-pak of the antibiotic, Azithromycin which I took for five days, June 7-11.However since I'm still coughing a lot, Ijust "walked in" as their sign says:"Walk ins Welcome."Jesse Ballard, a Nurse Practioner, saw me, who is one of their Urgent Care providers. He listened to my lungs. Then he ordered a chest x-ray, which showed there is no infection and my lungs are clear. He said: "The anti-biotic did "kill the bug," but with this virus, the cough can hang on for 6-8 weeks." His diagnosis: Post viral bronchitis. He prescribed Benzonatate 100 mg capsulesfor the cough. He said they would have been using that back when "country doctors" likeDr. Walt Petersen were practicing.TUESDAY, JUNE 21, 2022Family is Everything…"Today is the first dayof the rest of your life."
*** *** *** *** *** *** ***We're in for a hot week...Heather Cannon was released as ourWard Historian on May 29, andI was sustained as the Saratoga Springs 3rd Ward Historian. She's been trying to bring me thepast records and orient me, but with mycoughing so much, we've waited till Ihad confirmation that it isn't contagious. Her predecessor in this calling had beenBill Hartley, who was a professional historian.
This afternoon I went to the oral surgeon forthe one-year check on the implantshe did for my bridge last June.I watched a favorite movie from 1984.Quote from Wikipedia: "Sports writer Bill Simmons has argued, "Any 'Best Sports Movies' list that doesn't feature either Hoosiers or The Natural as the No. 1 pick shouldn't even count." And yet, some critics thought it was too fantastical and didn't give it good reviews at all.

Renaissance from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Renaissance (is a period in European history marking the transition from the Middle Ages to modernity and covering the 15th and 16th centuries, characterized by an effort to revive and surpass ideas and achievements of classical antiquity. It occurred after the Crisis of the Late Middle Ages and was associated with great social change. In addition to the standard periodization, proponents of a 'long Renaissance' may put its beginning in the 14th century and its end in the 17th century." *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

As Ramona left, she said:"Take care of yourself. I don't knowif we will see each other again." When she got home, sheemailed that we could keep in touch viaphone callsand emails.
My sweet Ministering Sister, came to visit this afternoon, also.Kathy is a jewel and always comeswith a peaceful feeling. It was a joyto talk with her about her Mother'slife story she's been working onfor several years, and now isready to print.
Here is the special note she brought fromCome, Follow Me

"...it isn't our own strengthor courage or wisdom thatwill save us--it is the Lord's"
And I've been savoring Kathy's homemadewholewheat bread, mostly as toast, thatshe recommended isher favorite way to eat it.

I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational. At the end of this June 26h,I pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment.Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all. *** *** ***I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."Daily Scripture: And blessed are all they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost. - 3 Nephi 12:6
Daily Quote: We have been promised the constant companionship of the third member of the Godhead and hence the privilege of receiving revelation for our own lives. - Sheri L. Dew

“My dear brothers and

path and stay there. Experience the joy of repenting daily. Learn about God and
how He works. Seek and expect miracles. Strive to end conflict in your life.
As you act on these
pursuits, I promise you the ability to move forward on the covenant path with
increased momentum, despite whatever obstacles you face. And I promise you
greater strength to resist temptation, more peace of mind, freedom from fear,
and greater unity in your families.” - President Russell M. Nelson
