I'm going to share parts of General Conference...
Here is the start of a summary of what our Prophet, President Nelson,
taught us at the April 2021 General Conference.
“Start
today to increase your faith,” said President Russell M. Nelson
during a special Easter Sunday morning session of general conference on April
4. The conference, which reached millions around the world, was held April 3
and 4 and featured speakers from every inhabited continent.
The president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, revered by members as a prophet, encouraged listeners to become better
through repentance, keep their temple covenants and remember lessons learned
during the pandemic. He said his invitations given during several sessions of
the two-day conference can help prepare individuals and the world for the
Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

FAMILY IS EVERYTHING... Angeles Cortes Salmeron came to see me today, bringing some beautiful white roses, and some truffles.
I did some work on my tax information to send to my accountant in Burley.

Today...Gary drove me to Murray to the second appointment with my Retina Specialist. Dr. Goff was out of town, so Dr. Faber did the eye injection.

Today I found out a dear friend from my Wendell High School Class of 1957 passed away yesterday. Barbara Parker Frith. I called Lucile Hunsaker Campbell, another high school friend to see if she knew any details. Lucile said she'd been trying to contact some of Barbara's familty, but hasn't been able to connect with them yet. We talked about that at our age, any of us can go any time. *** *** *** *** *** *** ***

FAMILY IS EVERYTHING...
In January I had requested copies of my parents' and grandparents' patriarchal blessings. I had checked a couple of times, then kinda forgot. I checked again today and the copies were there. It was most interesting to read them. They were downloaded on my ward website, with the caution:
"These are for family members only and not to be shared on familysearch nor on a blog." So if any family members want to read them, pm me and I can send you a copy. I also requested copies of my Great-grandparents' patriarchal blessings. In the request I had to have their birthdates and their parents' names, so I had to look in familysearch to get that information. Welby Richardson Huffaker b. 1862- and Martha Winn Huffaker 1864-1894. His parents Simpson David Huffaker 1812 Kentucky. Elizabeth Melvina Richardson 1829. They had 15 children--9 boys, 6 girls. Her parents Thomas Griffin Winn b. 20 Dec 1829 Blakely, PA; m. 8 Feb 1857 age 27; d. 27 Nov 1894 age 74 Willowcreek, Bonneville, IDAHO. Her mother Elizabeth Hanson Winn b. 10 May 1839 VasterMarie, Bornholm, Denmark; m. 8 Feb 1857 age 17; d. 12 May 1876 age 37, Smithfield, Cache, Utah. They had 7 children 4 girls, 3 boys. Martha was the second child, 1st dau.
Today was our turn for our half of the Saratoga Springs 3rd Ward to go to Church. Our new Stake President Jordan Erickson, presided. It was the first time in many years since Mark Beecher was able to sit with his wife, Kim, and family since serving as Bishop for 5 years or so, and then 9 years in the Stake Presidency. There were ten testimonies shared: Doug Graham, Roberta Sherman, Emily Slade, LeAnn Hunt, Brennon Beecher (recently called to a mission, Jen Miller, Val Green's daughter, A young married man--I think the son of Michael and Jen Miller, Sharon Mardesich, and Sevelle VanOrden. They each testified of God the Father and/or His Son, Jesus Christ, Our Savior. Wonderful opening and closing prayers were given by Jeanie and Steve Larsen.
I, too, am thankful for Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. For the Plan of Salvation and the hope of being resurrected because of the Atonement of the Savior. I look forward to being with my eternal sweetheart, Walt Petersen, again. I'm thankful for John and Julie and family letting me live with them, taking me to Church, providing good meals, and all else they do for me. I am also thankful for each of my children and grandchildren and their also keeping in touch and watching over me. The rest of my testimony is recorded at the end of each Sunday in my blog.
*** *** *** I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.

I share these truths as my additional testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment.

Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.

Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.

President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.
*** *** ***
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book on earth.
*** *** ***
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.
*** *** ***
Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
