Family is Everything...
I had an appointment for an
Echo with a Bubble today
at the Mtn. Point Medical Center.
Adrianne did an excellent job of
calmng my fears and attaching
all the devices to record the Echo.
She also had an excellent nurse
come in to start the IV for
the bubble procedure to
see if the little hole in the
heart that--I think she said
70% of all babies have--
but that 40% close,
leaving 30% whose never
does close. This bubble test
shows if mine is opened or closed.
I was in the medical center about
an hour -- but probably it just
took about 30 minutes for
the Echo and bubble test.
They said I'd have the
results in about 48 hours.
I was scheduled by the
neurologist, Mohammad Shoari, M.D.
whom I was sent to by the
ER physician when I was
in the Mtn. Point Medical
Center Emergency Room
on Feb. 13 for a
possible stroke...like I
had two years ago on
Jan. 10, 2018.
The 40-min MRI at the ER
did not show a stroke had
occurred, but Dr. Shoari feels
that if he repeated the MRi now
it would show a TIA which is
a "mini-stroke." But he didn't
feel another MRI was necessary.
{This photo I found online was
taken a few years ago...he
is a little older than this, now.}
Karen came to check on
Walt this afternoon.
 Karen checks his heart and
blood pressure twice a week.
I don't know if
FHE was held or not tonight.
I didn't get any text about it,
but I didn't go.
 We're pretty much hunkered down
for the duration...

Here's a good phrase that
Nancy Blauer put on fb
a while back.
Family is Everything...
Julie's quote from face book today:
"Luckily the Leprechaun wasn't
scared of Caronavirus and
still left us a chest of gold coins."
Marci came to help
Walt start his day

Institute is cancelled for two weeks.

Beautiful day...
we could see the gleaming
tops of the mountains in
the warm sunshine.
We put a shamrock in our window
for the neighborhood
"Shamrock Scavenger Hunt"
for kids to get out in the
fresh air today.
We had briskett for our
St. Patrick's Day dinner
 ...from Sean's Smokehouse
Still have my green shirt that
Jen brought to me in San Salvador
in March 2014...
A cherished new friend brought
us a plant...
Thank you, Tammy.
If you look closely, you can
see the green 'n white kerchief
Max came home from
the groomers with.
I was tickled to see Julie had
turned the green lights on
for St. Patrick's Day.
May the luck of the Irish be
with us always.
My pot of gold at the end
of the rainbow is
Walter Ray Petersen!
Walter Ray Petersen

 ...and, of course, our
posterity is also included in
our "pot of gold."
Our 7 children...
Our seven children and their spouses.
We have 39 grandchildren...
we are missing 11 grandchildren
in this photo...
plus 4 of our grandchildren
are now married.
Our posterity that was able to gather
at our home in July 2018 before we
moved from Burley, Idaho to
Saratoga Springs, Utah on
August 18, 2018.
We had lived in Burley since July 1966,
52 years...47 of those years in this home.
Well, I guess I need to subtract the
9 1/2 years we were out of the
country on our 4 missions...
so 42 1/2 years we actually
lived in Burley...
and 37 in this home.
The families who lived in our home
during those years we were gone
took very good care of it.
We thank them!
Our joy is full when we are with
our beloved family.

Family is Everything...
Official announcement from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
This morning at 7:09 a.m. MDT, Salt Lake City
experienced a 5.7 magnitude earthquake. [epicenter Magna]
No injuries have been reported to Church employees. Until further notice, all Church headquarter facilities are closed to evaluate the safety of our buildings.
The Salt Lake Temple, which is undergoing a seismic upgrade, sustained minor damage during Wednesday morning's earthquake. The trumpet on the Angel Moroni statue fell off, and there is minor displacement of some of the temple's smaller spire stones. No workers were injured. Crews on the job site have been sent home for the day, and a full assessment is underway to determine needs going forward. This event emphasizes why this project is so necessary to preserve this historic building and create a safer environment for all our patrons and visitors.
More earthquake info....  Their have been several aftershocks, the most
significant today was at about 1:05 p.m. at 4.6 magnitude.
A seismologist on the Five o'clock KSL News said there
could be hundreds....even thousands of aftershocks.
However, each day going forward makes it
less likely of the "big one" hitting now.

Natalie came to cut our hair.
She is so excellent at not only this,
but at anything she does.
She had already coached 10-member

 Natalie, thank you for helping

Natalie, plus catching up on
Carter and Kimble.
Kimble is hoping to still be
able to leave May Harbor this
Friday, and enter his new
training in North Carolina
on Monday, March 23.
Wednesday is movie night with Gary.
Tonight we are watching
"Murder on the Orient Express"
The newer one from 2017...
Gary didn't come because
a gal in his office told them
today she had the symptoms
and felt like she has Coronavirus.
Walt and I, and Gary watched
the movie in our separate homes.
Here's what Gary texted about this
version of the movie of the
book by Agatha Cristie:
"Popcorn popped and ready
with a Sprite Zero.
Hope you enjoy the movie.
Sure love you both.
Gary"
Gary continued at the start
of the movie...
"The opening cinematography
is beautiful...
And I love how they are
developing Inspector Poirot's quirky
personality more fully.
At the end Gary concluded:
"Wow, I really , really liked
this version.
Hope you both enjoyed the movie.
Walt said at the end:
"That was really something!~"
He told me he understood the
plot better this time.
Gary, it wasn't the same without
you here, but thanks for looking
out for our health and safety.

           Welcome Spring...
March 19, 2020 is the
First Day of Spring this year.
Winter is over by the calendar,
but...
Marci came to help Walt
start his day.
Karen came to check on Walt...
his blood pressure is a little
high on the lower number:
124/88.
Walt had told Gary a month or so ago
his favorite movies of all time:
Tora! Tora! Tora! - 1970 = most favorite
because after the Pearl Harbor attack
the Japanese Admiral says:
"I fear we have only awakened
a sleeping giant with a
great resolve."
White Christmas - 1954
Old Man and the Sea with Spencer Tracy - 1958
Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo - 1944
Spencer's Mountain with Henry Fonda - 1963
Sergent York with Gary Cooper - 1941
Fighting Syllivans - 1944
The Music Man - 1962
Judgement at Nuremberg with Spencer Tracy - 1961
Bridge On the River Kwai - 1957
Glenn Miller Story - 1954
Others I know of are...
Chariots of Fire - 1981
Hoosiers - 1986
It's a Wonderful Life - 1946
A Guy Named Joe - with Spencer Tracy - 1943
My Fair Lady - 1964
Fiddler on the Roof - 1971
The Sound of Music - 1965
So when Walt asked me tonight:
"What movie are we going to watch tonight?"
I read this list to him to see which of his
favorite movies he'd like to watch.
"Oh, we've seen all of those," was his reply.
So I pulled up Prime Video and
we watched...

Family is Everything...
I didn't take any photos today.
We watched some of the news
about the Coronavirus/Covid19.
Julie picked up some Insulin
for me at Walmart, and also
got Walt a yummy trail mix,
and some dried apricots.
Walt said he likes dried apricots
so much because his Grama Rie
always made a lot of them when
the apricot trees produced so well
every-other year. She would cut them
open, pit them, then spread them out
in her attic to dry.
^^^ ^^^ ^^^
We finished watching a movie
we had spread out through the
week in parts...
It divides itself into thirds:
The first 40 years of Moses in Egypt,
his next 40 years in Midian, then
his short time back in Egypt to
free the Israelites, and his
final 40 years in the wilderness.
Info from Wikipedia:
The Ten Commandments is a 1956 American epic religious drama film produced, directed, and narrated by Cecil B. DeMille... The film is based on Prince of Egypt by Dorothy Clarke Wilson,
Pillar of Fire by J.H. Ingraham,
On Eagle's Wings by A.E. Southon,
and the Book of Exodus
The Ten Commandments dramatizes the biblical story of the life of Moses, an adopted Egyptian prince who becomes the deliverer of his real brethren, the enslaved Hebrews, and therefore leads the Exodus to Mount Sinai, where he receives, from God, the Ten Commandments. The film stars Charlton Heston in the lead role, Yul Brynner as RamesesAnne Baxter as NefretiriEdward G. Robinson as DathanYvonne De Carlo as SephoraDebra Paget as Lilia, and John Derek as Joshua; and features Sir Cedric Hardwicke as SethiNina Foch as BithiahMartha Scott as YochabelJudith Anderson as Memnet, and Vincent Price as Baka, among others.[5]
Filmed on location in EgyptMount Sinai and the Sinai Peninsula, the film was DeMille's last and most successful work.[9] It is a partial remake of his 1923 silent film of the same title, and features one of the largest sets ever created for a film.[9] The film was released to cinemas in the United States on November 8, 1956 and, at the time of its release, was the most expensive film ever made.[9]
In 1957, the film was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, winning the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects (John P. FultonA.S.C.).[10] DeMille won the Foreign Language Press Film Critics Circle Award for Best Director.[11] Charlton Heston was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) for his role as Moses.[10] Yul Brynner won the National Board of Review Award for Best Actor for his role as Rameses and his other roles in Anastasia and The King and I.[10] It is also one of the most financially successful films ever made, grossing approximately $122.7 million (equivalent to $1.15 billion in 2019) at the box office during its initial release; it was the most successful film of 1956 and the second-highest-grossing film of the decade. According to Guinness World Records, in terms of theatrical exhibition it is the eighth most successful film of all-time when the box office gross is adjusted for inflation.
In 1999, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". In June 2008, the American Film Institute revealed its "Ten Top Ten"—the best ten films in ten American film genres—after polling over 1,500 people from the creative community. The film was listed as the tenth best film in the epic genre.[12][13] Network television has aired the film in prime time during the Passover/Easter season every year since 1973.

Here's some more info I found about the
movie Chariots of Fire when I looked up
its date and saw the Bible verses where
the title came from...
Chariots of Fire – Best Picture of 1981, plus 3 other Oscars…
The film's title was inspired by the line, "Bring me my Chariot of fire!", from the William Blake poem adapted into the popular British hymn "Jerusalem"; the hymn is heard at the end of the film.[3] The original phrase "chariot(s) of fire" is from
2 Kings 2:11 and 6:17 in the Bible.

Chariots of Fire is a 1981 British historical drama film. It tells the fact-based story of two athletes in the 1924 OlympicsEric Liddell, a devout Scottish Christian who runs for the glory of God, and Harold Abrahams, an English Jew who runs to overcome prejudice.
The film was conceived and produced by David Puttnam, written by Colin Welland, and directed by Hugh HudsonBen Cross and Ian Charleson starred as Abrahams and Liddell,
Also here's some info that interested me

about the two stars of the movie...

Poem that inspired the title “Chariots of Fire”
The original text is found in the preface [William] Blake wrote for inclusion with Milton, a Poem, following the lines beginning "The Stolen and Perverted Writings of Homer & Ovid: of Plato & Cicero, which all Men ought to contemn: ..."[6]
Blake's poem – 1804 started – printed in 1808
And did those feet in ancient time
And did those feet in ancient time,
Walk upon England’s mountains green:
And was the holy
Lamb of God,
On Englands pleasant pastures seen!

And did the
Countenance Divine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was
Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanic Mills?

Bring me my Bow of burning gold:
Bring me my Arrows of desire:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold:
Bring me my
Chariot of fire!

I will not cease from Mental Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In Englands green & pleasant Land.
Beneath the poem Blake inscribed a quotation from the Bible:[7]
"Would to God that all the Lords[c] people were Prophets"
Numbers XI. Ch 29.v[6]
Bible verses that title for “Chariots of Fire” comes from:
2 Kings 2:11 King James Version (KJV)
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

2 Kings 6:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see.
And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw:
and, behold, the mountain was full of horses
and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Family is Everything...
We had home Church and had the sacrament administered to by Jackson, and served to us by John.
Julie gave the lesson from Come, Follow Me for Enos to Words of Mormon...
"He Works In Me To Do His Will." She showed this 7 minute video about Enos:
https://youtu.be/jUfbSZqhwQg
Then asked why Enos prayed.  ...he was worried about his sins...he remembered the words of his father...he had just been given the plates to safeguard and record on and he felt he wasn't worthy.
Then John asked the children how we pray...and they brought out the steps:
1. We begin by addressing our prayer to Heavenly Father.
2. We thank Him for those things He does and has done for us.
3. We ask for help with relevant situations in our current day-to-day life.
4. We close in the Name of Jesus Christ.
John also taught about speaking with respect to Heavenly Father and using the language of divinity...Thee, Thou, Thy...
Julie asked if a prayer is better if we kneel in private, or if we need to say a prayer wherever we are...in school, walking, driving. The answer is that wherever we need to pray--when it is with sincere intent, Heavenly Father will hear us.
Rigdon conducted today, and wrote the points of prayer on the white board.
John cooked another delicious
Sunday dinner...
...of roast beef, mashed potatoes
and gravy, corn, salad, juice.
Thanks, John.
Julie brought in chocolate
chip cookies fresh out
of the oven with a
glass of milk.
She also took our
"Sunday photo."
Thanks, Julie.
They are taking very good care
of us in our cozy cottage here!
We enjoy being together.

We are so thankful for The Plan of Salvation
and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ
that makes this Great Plan operational.
At the end of this March 22nd,
we pray you have had a restful,
 peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
We share these truths as our testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  He loves us just as we are at this very moment.
He is in charge of this earth and knows how to help us through this world-wide pandemic of Covid19.

Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.

Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.

President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.

The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.

I am thankful for a husband who holds and honors the Priesthood of God. He has been the patriarch of our home in righteousness. I honor and love him with all my heart. We are eternal sweethearts, sealed as husband and wife in the temple of God by Priesthood Authority for time and for all eternity.

Of these truths we testify in the
