Family is Everything…
Note: I had typed the cut lines for all the
photos from Monday through Wednesday,
but they didn't save.
So you will just have to "imagine" what
each photo is for
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
I guess I hit a wrong key
somewhere and most of my two-hours'
work did not save.
It disheartened me so, I haven't worked

on my blog from Wed night till Sunday night.

Family is Everything…
I loved this quote I saw on face book today.
It seems the Apostles are making more
references that we have a Heavenly Mother,
as well as a Heavenly Father.
Julie, Jacee, and Maddie are at the
United States National Amateur
Dancesport Championships
at BYU today through Saturday
in the Marriott Center.
 Jacee and partner
One of the
BYU Youth Ballroom Teams...
Maddie and partner made six callbacks...
 Way to go Maddie!
Now back to what we did today...
Watched our neighbor move...
guys had to load furniture and stuff
in the rain...
Wondered what that big crane was
for to the east down by the lake.

We left to exercise at the club house...
this van was gone when we got back.
We were the only ones at the club house
today so had the bicycles to ourselves.
  Walt loves this black licorice...
I'd never seen it in a 5-pound bag before.
Had to take a photo of it when we
were shopping at Smith's this afternoon.
We still just got the little box of it.
John is handling everything so well
while Julie is gone for these 4 1/2 days.
John came around the corner just as
Rigdon had "built a ladder" to climb up
to find the Ninja warrior he had
thrown in the air.
John explained why this would be
dangerous for Rigs.
John found the Ninja for Rigdon.
When Gary came over for our Wednesday
night movie, he suggested we watch
"Chariots of Fire" as a transition
into the March Madness during
the NCAA Tourney.
   What a great choice!
Gary, Walt, and I loved it
all over again, even tho we've all seen it
many time.
It is timeless!
"The film's title was inspired by the line,
"Bring me my Chariot of fire!",
from the William Blake poem adapted into the popular British hymn "Jerusalem"; the hymn is heard at the end of the film. The original phrase "chariot(s) of fire" is from
2 Kings 2:11 and 6:17 in the Bible."
"Chariots of Fire is a 1981 British historical drama film
It tells the fact-based story of two athletes in the 1924 OlympicsEric Liddell, a devout Scottish Christian who runs for the glory of God, and Harold Abrahams, an English Jew who runs to overcome prejudice.
The film was conceived and produced by David Puttnam, written by Colin Welland, and directed by Hugh HudsonBen Cross and Ian Charleson starred as Abrahams and Liddell, alongside Nigel HaversIan HolmLindsay AndersonJohn GielgudCheryl Campbell, and Alice Krige
in supporting roles.
It was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won four, including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. It is ranked 19th in the British Film Institute's
The film is also notable for its memorable
who won the Academy Award
for Best Original Score."  --Info from Wikepedia
Below I think I got the link right this time,
if you click, then click the tiny print link that
pops up, you will have 3 min 20 sec of
highlights from the film with the
haunting theme song,
that won an Oscar.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSav51fVlKU

 We do love this movie.
I remember when we first saw it in 1981,
I checked the 1924 Olympics info,
and the movie was very accurate.
We put the closed captioning on tonight
and picked up a lot of dialogue
we had missed before.
We love this tradition of our
Wednesday night movie with Gary.

Family is Everything…
 Marci helps again.
Julie and Maddie are off for Day 2 of
the National Ballroom Championships.
Maddie told us: "We were there
17 hours yesterday!"
  Rainy again today.

 Now snowy!

Walt thinks he is getting a sty.
If it isn't one thing, it's another...
 FRIDAY, MARCH 8, 2019

 Mother and daughter
off to the National Championships
for Day 3...

                                                  These 4-year olds are
                                                  true buddies!
They helped retreive a cup of
colored pens that fell off my desk
and rolled back behind the couch.
Thanks, guys!

SATURDAY, MARCH 9, 2019
Family is Everything…
 Marci here from home health
to help Walt.
What a blessing to have this help.
 John cooked us some wonderful
fried eggs for breakfast.
That evening came to take us to supper...
  ...at Supreme Burgers in Provo.
In Steven's day at BYU, it was "Apollo Burger"
just a couple of blocks from the Riveria
where all our kids lived at sometime
during their BYU years.
(Oh, except Janie who lived across
the street from the Riv--Pine View, one year.)
Steve then took us to the final night of
this big National Ballroom Competition
to see Maddie's and Jacee's
BYU Youth ballroom teams dance.
Steve said Julie has been so good to
support his kids at their activities,
he was happy to come to their kids
ballroom activity.
John came up to talk to us in that
third floor handicap area where
we were sitting.
He gave some insights into the
ins and outs of the competition
and the dancers.
  Here's Maddies pre-teen team...
  We loved their routine.
They got FIRST PLACE in their division.
Julie is the coach of this team!
Congratulations!!

Julie came up with John after her main
duties were over.
  I didn't get good photos of Jacee's
team.  They looked great to us,
but they were disappointed in their
only placing 6th.
But, hey, that's sixth in the whole
United States!
We actually headed home at 10:00 because
the final outcomes were not being announced
until the finish at midnight.
Julie and John were bracing to be there
till the end, and then having to load
up costumes and take everything out.
Thanks, Steve, for taking us to see
our two granddaughters perform.
We add these photos of our two
granddaughters' experiences in this
U.S. National Amateur DanceSport
Championships from photos
Julie took.  She is the Coach
of Maddie's Pre-teen BYU Ballroom Team.
Julie and her partner Richard, from Iowa,
took first place in these competitions
at BYU in 1994 and 1995.

First Presidency, LDS apostles to attend Rome, Italy temple dedication

All 15 leaders in the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be attending the dedication of the Rome, Italy temple, according to a press release.
It is believed this is the first time all 15 leaders will be in the same location outside of the United States.
The three-day dedicatory services will include seven sessions, which is irregular for most Latter-day Saint temple dedications.

“A temple is literally a house of the Lord. Each temple is a holy sanctuary in which sacred ceremonies and ordinances of the gospel are performed by and for the living and also in behalf of the dead,” President Nelson says to introduce a new virtual tour of the Rome Italy Temple. “We build temples so our faithful members can visit often and receive the most sacred ordinances of our faith. Before our temples are dedicated for their sacred purpose, the public is invited to see the beauty of the temple and learn about
the commitments we make there with God.”
At a Rome Temple media day, Elder David. A Bednar said Rome is one of the most historical locations in the world and is rich in Bible history.
“This is a worldwide religion," Bednar said. "We have more than 16 million members and the Church is recognized and established in over 170 nations, so it’s only a matter of time before we have temples in most major cities in the world, but it is of particular significance to have a temple in Rome, the Eternal City.”
That same day, Elder De Feo, a General Authority Seventy and native of Italy, spoke about Italy's rich Christian history.

“As the center for Christianity for millennia, Rome couldn’t be without a temple dedicated to Jesus Christ," Elder De Feo, a General Authority Seventy and native of Italy, stated in a press release. "Rome is also the Eternal City. We needed to have a temple in the Eternal City because it is a symbol of eternity. The temple is the place we learn that life is eternal."
The Rome Italy Temple will serve over 23,000 Church members living in Italy and in neighboring countries.

Before the Dedication of the temple was the
Cornerstone Ceremony.
  What a historic time!

When we came out of Church, the young
man on Walt's right held the door
open for him to go through
with his walker.
Many ward members help us navigate
in and out and through the church building
with our walkers.
How kind they are.
We so appreciate it.

David came to get us for "dessert Sunday"
with them..
Sam has learned from his Grandfather Brent Black,
how to make CremBrulee from scratch.
Crème brûlée
He browned the sugar topping on each
with a plumber's torch.
 Perfect results.
Crème brûlée
 The most delicious Crème brûlée
we have ever tasted!
  What a treat!

David also showed us some
wonderful individual genealogy
sheets he got at the Roots Tech
gathering in Salt Lake City on Saturday.
We plan to do sealings with David
in a couple of weeks.
This is fantastic!
I need to find the three family
photos for my Grama Blanche Hartwell
Albertson's parents, and for
my Grampa Clarence Albertson's mother,
to complete it for David's four generations.
Time to head home...
Thanks for a fun evening!
Always love being with David and Julie,
and their four wonderful kids:
Josh, Anna, Sam, and Will.
And it was an extra bonus to get to
be with and talk to Julie's Dad, Brent.
Thanks, David, for such tender care
of your Mom and Dad.
We need to end every week with a
big thank you to John and Julie for
taking such good care of us daily as
we live in our cozy cottage in their home.
We are so grateful to them and for all
they do for us in our elderly years.
Walt is nearing 85 come April 17th.

We do love our Savior, Jesus Christ!
We can never thank Him sufficiently for
all He has done for us.
We are so thankful for The Plan of Salvation
and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ
that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this March 10th,
we pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
We share these truths as our testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  He loves us just as we are at this very moment.
*** *** ***
Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.
*** *** ***
Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all.
*** *** ***
President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.  He has just met with the Pope and shared their common goals of humanitarian work throughout the world. He has just dedicated the first Temple in Italy - in Rome the Eternal City where eternal ordinances will now be given.
*** *** ***
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ.  It is the keystone of our religion.
*** *** ***
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.  We know many good people in many other churches that have good in them. As a Prophet said, paraphrasing: Come and let us add to what you have.
*** *** ***
Of these truths we testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
