This morning I had  appointment at the South Jordan Intermountain Branch of the UofU Medical Center for a bone density test.

Intermountain UofU Branch at South Jordan....Daybreak area.

Sunset on the way home early evening from Salt Lake City to Burley, I D A H O.

Walt took these great photos.

TUESDAY, MAY 22, 2018

Today Walt had pool physical therapy. My cell phone was not charged so I didn't get any photos.

Then we went to Institute...great lesson on Elder Dallin H. Oaks General Conference talk "Small and Simple Things" bring great things to pass.

We love this adult religion class taught by Nancy Blauer.  She is an outstanding teacher and brings out a lot of class participations and discussion.  We love her and her insights for each lesson.

After class we went to visit Marizza Shoup.
She recently put her house up for sale
and it sold the
second day.

We will miss having her living near us.
Well, I guess since we are moving, too, she wouldn't have been near us even if she had not sold her home.
Marizza is beautiful and has a beautiful smile.
She is an amazing gal.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 23, 2018

Today Walt had pool physical therapy.

He feels like this really helps him move better.

In the early evening we drove to Salt Lake City
to be ready to get to the airport Thursday morning.
ThUrSDAY, MAY 24, 2018

Today Walt and I flew from Salt Lake City to Nashville, Tennessee where Brian and Jenn picked us up and drove us to their home in Shelbyville.

Gary drove us to the airport
from Saratoga Springs.
 Thanks, Gary!
 Ready to check in...
 Curb side service is great...
 Had lunch before boarding...
 Walt loves a window seat
when no one else is on the aisle seat...
Brian and Jenn were there to meet us...
as was Emma, but the photo that I took
of her and Eli, her service dog, didn't turn out.

They helped us with our luggage.

We drove Emma to her Mom's home in
Brentwood, a suburb of Nashville,
then drove on to Shelbyville where
we had supper at the Parthenon.

Brian had lamb chops -- because
he could and it is a Greek Restaurant.
Walt had prime rib.
Jenn and I had filet mignon.
Delicious~

It was a fast flight - 3 hours, 20 minutes.
It's always nice to get to the end of a trip.
We got to their home about 9:30.

Tennessee

Woke up to this beautiful ceiling overhead...
First stop...to see the DC3 Brian's neighbor owns.

Walt flew in these during his Uruguay-Paraguay Mission
during August 1954 to March 1957.
Walt said they were built in 1935 just 30 years after
the first flight at Kitty Hawk, and they are still going!
Brian and Jenn might get to fly in this one
on June 6th, which is the day this year
it will be in the air.
It's the plane that Eleanor Roosevelt used during
her husband's U.S. Presidency years.

Walt loves to be around airplanes.
   Brian dropped by
the Webb School for finalizing things
for Emma's graduation.

 Tennessee
Lunch at the Bell Buckle Cafe
 Tennessee...so many choices...
 Tennessee
Jenn got the four veggie entree...
Carrott souffle, fried okra, tomatoes, and fruit cup.
Brian got stuffed peppers.
 Tennessee
Walt got grilled cheese,
and I got chicken pot pie...
 Tennessee
We all shared a Moon Pie Sundae...

They just planted their garden a couple
of weeks ago and it's growing like crazy
in the Tennessee sunshine.

Emma's Webb School graduation in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.
She's going to work in Alaska for the summer, then will be going to Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, in pre-med.

Happy Graduation Day,

Emma's graduation was in a large tent outside.

There are 67 in her graduating class.

We were lucky it didn't rain, as forecast...
Tennessee
But it was cloudy enough to keep it cooler than the 94 degrees
it got to the day before.

Here's Emma in the Recessional from her Webb School Graduation Ceremony...

Here's the photo after graduation of Emma with her Mom, Michelle, and her three sisters: Taylor, Avery, and Lizzy.

The photos of Emma with her Dad and Jenn, and with us were taken by Brian and Jenn, so I will post them when they send the photos to me.

Emma with Michelle, Taylor, Avery and Lizzy.
I'll keep this one smaller in case the one above
I put in "x-large size" doesn't show everyone.

Emma with Grampa and Grama Petersen...

Then it was home to Shelbyville--just 15 minutes from Bell Buckle for a graduation luncheon of Emma's favorite: Hamburgers from Red Robin.

Oh, back to graduation...Emma's
art work on the 2018 Art Poster...
it's the whale third from the bottom left...

I couldn't see in the sun...Emma is
standing by the poster with Brian taking a photo of her.

Emma's special time...dd

Emma's Grampa and Dad helped her celebrate this special day.
Time for Emma to open graduation gifts...
She got some fun "Eckerd College" items from Grampa 'n Grama Petersen.
Emma got a great surprise gift from her Dad and Jenn.  She even asked her Dad for a big hug...which for Emma who doesn't really like hugs...is a grand event!

Lizzy drew Emma a graduation cap because she heard her sister say she wished they were having caps and gowns at their graduation.  (The school had the girls wear white dresses and the senior boys wore theire school blazers.)
Lizzy got a hug, too.

The four sisters...Emma, Taylor, Avery, Lizzy.

Brian and his four daughters...

Hangin' out...
This shows the four girls better...

Lizzy.  Jenn working to make everything happen.

Emma Lizzy, age 8, into the mustache props...

Some may have gotten thrown in the pool in their clothes...
Emma and Taylor may be hiding out from
their Dad so they don't get thrown in the pool.
Emma just thought her Dad wouldn't find her here on the
patio by the back door.

Grampa remembering when he used to could run and throw people in pools and rivers...in days past.

Emma are you wet yet?

Grampa watching at the pool...
Then it began to thunder and rain, which ended the swim time...
Later they biked and walked the dogs--Lady, Wilbur, and Eli.

The evening ended with the movie "Lion King."

Now...it's the end of a milestone day for Emma and we "older ones" are going to bed.

sunDAY, MAY 27, 2018

A Tennessee Sunday...  Taylor was invited by her friend Abbey to go with her and her family for a week at the beach on the Gulf side of the Florida coast...Amelia Island.  She's ready for them to pick her up as we head to Church.

The Sermon at this Baptist Church this moring
was from Revelations 3:14-22
"...not hot nor cold, but lukewarm..."
with the moral of not being just a "casual Christian."

 Driving back home through the
Tennessee rolling hills...
Brian took the hose out to the pool house
to add some more
water to the pool to be ready for some
swim time after dinner and naps.

Walt with Brian and Lizzy...

 Walt and Eileen with Brian...
 Grampa 'n Grama Petersen
with Lizzy...

Brian put his shoes back on for the picture
so I made sure to get a photo of them...

 Now with Lizzy...
Ready for a snack after Church
before a Sunday nap...

Then a dip in the pool...

which got rained out after an hour.

Brian

We have had a wonderful day with Brian and Jenn and their family...

We are so happy for Emma and her graduation time from The Webb School.

We said goodbye to her tonight as she will be flying to Alaska tomorrow to work for the summer.

We wish her a bright and happy future as she will be going to live in Florida while she attends Eckerd College in St. Petersburg.

We hope you have had a peaceful and restful Sabbath Day.

Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, know and love each one of us personally by name.  They want us to each have eternal happiness and return to live with Them again.

May we each strive for this.

We thank each of our seven children for their love and support.

Four of them were able to go to our home this Friday and Saturday to help do more sorting and packing.  Thank you Janie, Gary, Steve, and Julie.

Love from Walt and Eileen - Burley, I D A H O.
