David's Birthday - Our 4th child, 3rd son...David is in the middle of 7 children. He was born October 12, 1969, in the Burley Hospital on Parke Avenue.  He was the first one of our children to be delivered by his father.

He has been a wonderful son, and now is a great husband and dedicated father of four.  He is also a pediatric ophthalmologist at the Rocky Mountain Eye Care Center in Sandy, Utah.

He married Julie Black from Sandy, Utah, on June 27, 1994, 3 weeks after they both graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo.  They actually met when they were students abroad at the BYU Jerusalem Center in Israel.

Joshua, their oldest son, graduated from Canyon Corner High School in Draper, Utah, last June, and has begun his college years at the University of Utah, living in the Honors Dorm.

Walt was scheduled for a colonoscopy today but yesterday morning Dr. Ted Rea's nurse called to say the doctor had been called out of town, so it is postponed till next Wednesday.  So we got to go to the temple today, after all.

We did a sealing session with our Burley 3rd Ward High Priests' group this morning, then early afternoon we did an endowment session.  Connie had called us last night to tell us Dale was sick, so they would not be able to rendezvous with us today at the temple.
I took a photo of Walt...
Just as Walt took a photo of me...
Brother Thurston came by and asked if he could take a photo of us together...
We stopped at Costco to have my hearing aids checked because the rechargable batteries seem to be getting weak. The gal at the Hearing Center said they're probably good for about another month, when they're a year old. She cleaned them which always helps, even though I thoroughly clean them with a brush each morning and night, too.

We had a quick late lunch at Costco, along with buying a couple of things on a good rebate.  They still don't have the Macadamia Carmel Clusters in for the Christmas Season. The gal didn't know why it's taking so long for them to be restocked.

As we drove down 24th Street to Burton Avenue, we saw Kirt just pulling in to Melling's driveway with his Mom.  She's been gone since August 20th to be with family ten days before her August 30th total hip replacement.  So she is thrilled that her surgeon told her this morning she could come home today!

Ruth is back! And we are happy, as is she!

She was happy with how her flower box
