A little about yesterday, December 31, 2012
Yesterday, New Year's Eve day was our "P-Day" and after grocery shopping we all had lunch at the Chinese Restaurant called "Style 168."
We only have 25 days until two of our full-time temple missionary Sr. couples complete their 18-month mission here...
Elder y Hna. Kitley - Trent & Arlene,
...and Elder y Hna. Gibbons - Dave & Marilyn.
Elder y Hna. Wall, Frank & Diane will be here until May 25, 2013,
...and Elder y Hna. Thompson, Lon & Nancy will be here until June 25, 2013.
What a blessing each of these four couples have been in helping start this new temple and teaching our brand new temple workers.
Each day the temple is open they have either an 8-9 hour morning/afternoon shift, or an 8-9 hour afternoon/evening shift. They are such a blessing to the work in this temple.
Walt has been actively "recruiting" other Sr. couples to come serve a mission here to replace them, but so far we only have one couple who have agreed to come. They will be able to be here March 1.
However, we won't be sure they are coming to this temple until they receive their actual call. If a President "recruits" a couple to serve, the chances are 95% that they will be called to the temple of that temple president.
If any retired couples would like to receive blessings for themselves and their families -- serve a mission together. And the San Salvador El Salvador Temple is a wonderful mission to choose.
Con amor, Presidente y Hermana Petersen - Walt & Eileen
