A freind from burley--          Janet, Gordie's wife...

Retirement Party! 🎉Join us in the Cassia Regional Hospital cafeteria at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 20 as we celebrate the remarkable career of Janet Hansen and wish her well in retirement!

After 34 years of dedicated service, Janet is retiring, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, mentorship, and compassionate care.

Her journey began in 1985 at L.A. County Hospital and led her to Cassia Regional in 1990, where she officially launched her career as an ICU nurse in 1991.

From her time in the ICU to her role as a Hospital Educator, Janet has shaped the lives of patients, colleagues, and nursing students alike. She’s been a leader, a teacher, and a tireless advocate for quality care.

Let’s honor Janet’s incredible contributions and send her off with love and gratitude. We hope to see you there! 💙

Janie and Shawn are in

Shanfhai, China at the

invitation of Hudson

and his parents.

Hudson became friends

with them when he was going

to BYU Idaho.

Monday they saw

Michael & Darby Jo

one time at Shanghai

Disneyland.

The BYU Ballroom

Tour Team is there

this week.

A nice cool Autumn day...

Waiting for my ride to Institute...
Carol drove me.
When we pulled up there were no other cars.
Then Carol remembered they had said last week there was no class on
Oct 21 because new carpet was being put in, which a note on the door today confirmed.
The note also said a reminder email had been sent, which neither of us had seen.
And I missed class last week when I was in Las Vegas with Janie visiting
Aimee & Michael.

in Sundance, Utah,

at age 89,

we have been watching

some of his

movies...   Tonight was...

"the great gatsby"

The Great Gatsby is a 1974 American historical romantic drama

film based on the classic 1925 novel

by F. ScottFitzgerald

It stars Robert RedfordMia FarrowSam Waterston...

The plot concerns the interactions of writer Nick Carraway with enigmatic millionaire Jay Gatsby (Redford) and Gatsby's obsession to reunite with his former lover, Daisy Buchanan (Farrow), amid the riotous parties of the Jazz Age on Long Island near New York City.

The Great Gatsby was preceded by 1926 and 1949 films of the same name. Despite a mixed reception by critics, the 1974 film grossed over $26 million against a $7 million budget.

In 2013, a fourth film adaptation was produced...

Next week we will watch

the 2013 version with

Leonardo DiCaprio.

$105–190 million[2][3]

Box office

$353.6 million[3]

What is the best movie version of The Great Gatsby?

AI Overview

There is no consensus on the "best" Great Gatsby movie, as it depends on whether you prioritize fidelity to the novel or modern spectacle. The 1974 version starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow is often cited for its faithfulness to the book and atmospheric portrayal of the 1920s. The 2013 version directed by Baz Luhrmann, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, is praised for its stylistic, high-energy, and visually extravagant approach that some find more entertaining.

This video compares the 1974 and 2013 film adaptations of The Great Gatsby:

** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ that makes this

 Great Plan operational.

At the end of this
October 26th,

I pray you have had a                           restful, peaceful, and spiritual     Sabbath Day...

I share these truths as                                my testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  He loves us just as we are at this very moment.

*** *** ***

Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.

“An omnicompetent God leaves all mortals free to choose, but how grateful we should be that God chose long, long ago to rescue and to resurrect all His children through the Atonement of His Son. Nevertheless, some reject and many are indifferent to these and other divine beckonings, mostly because they are too caught up in the cares of the world. They are strangers to the Savior, who is far from the thoughts and intents of their hearts.”

Neal A Maxwell

How Choice a Seer!

Revelation 19:16: -- "And he hath on his vesture and on
 his thigh a name written,
KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS".

I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead.
Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
