Traces of Time . . .
"Time moves slowly,
but passes quickly."
{Last week: Scroll to end and click "Older Posts" at bottom right.}
On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020.
Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and posterity to come.

Family is Everything…
Old Age...
TIME MARCHES ON
When you're young, time passes slow.
With carefree hearts, we watch it go.
Caught up in our own world of dreams,
We don’t know what ‘time’ really
means.
Thinking we have plenty to spare,
We waste time because we do not care.
Yearning to be grown and clever,
Each passing year seems like forever.
The calendar's pages flip and spin,
Leaving trails of where we've been.
Suddenly, somehow, youth is gone.
Quickly now, time marches on.
From sunset hues to morning's light,
Time doesn’t linger in its flight.
The pages turn, the years unfold,
Not something we can catch and hold.
Let us live life a different way,
And cherish every passing day.
We won’t regret the life we led
And we will be at peace, instead.

Plot[edit]
In 1947, Hercule Poirot lives in retirement in post-war Venice, employing former police officer Vitale Portfoglio as a bodyguard. On Halloween, mystery writer Ariadne Oliver convinces Poirot to attend a séance at the palazzo of opera singer Rowena Drake and help expose medium Joyce Reynolds as a fraud...
The movie is slow moving
and mostly in pretty dark lighting.
Nothing to compare with
Death on the Nile
or
Murder on the
Orient Express.

Happy Fall ya'all...

Some mellow thoughts about the changing of the SEASONS... "Like spring, autumn is a season of transformation. As we watch the leaves change and fall, it’s natural to reflect on the seasons of our own lives and the large and small shifts that are underway. Autumn is also a time for harvesting the fruits of our labors — both literally and figuratively — as well as celebrating our growth and gathering with loved ones for time-honored holidays and traditions. In many parts of the world, autumn is marked by a parade of fiery hues on the boughs above our heads. Deciduous trees light up with a burst of color — greens become yellows, oranges, reds, purples, and browns as the intensity of summer dramatically gives way to a more subdued time of year. There are so many ways to revel in the fall season; it might be a warm scarf, mug of hot cider, spooky jack-o’-lantern, hiking and camping, reunion with loved ones, or a return to campuses and athletic fields. However you choose to spend this season of change, these 15* quotes are bound to invigorate your appreciation for autumn.
{*Eileen's note: I'll share these quotes throughout September, October, and November.}
"Autumn brings a longing to get away from the unreal things of life, out into the forest at night with a campfire and the rustling leaves."

“Jesus knew who He was—the Son of God.
He knew His purpose—to carry out the will of the Father through the Atonement.
His vision was eternal—'to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of

restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment. He knows what our potential is.*** *** ***Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.*** *** ***I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
*** *** *** *** ***Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.*** *** ***President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world. *** *** ***The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.*** *** ***The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.
