On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020.
Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and posterity to come.

Funeral today for Gladys Harrison
1935-2023 - Age 92
First thing in Wendell,
we went to the Cemetery...
1 month since...
Walt graduated to heaven.
Gary took a photo of...
Phyllis and Dale's headstone.
Thanks, Gary.
Those two pine trees right
behind Gary are 2 of the
4 my Dad planted in
Oct 1979 when my
cousin Lucy was
buried in that
corner of the cemetery.
I sure appreciate Gary
making this trip possible.
We went by McGinnis Park
which is by the swimming pool.
Phyllis was the major force in
getting both of these facilities
in Wendell.
Love my home town
of Wendell.
Love the Mayor
Rebecca Bunn Vipperman
who is a granddaughter
of Phyllis.

What Do Latter-day Saints Believe About The Godhead?
Latter-day Saints’ beliefs about the Godhead are one of the ways they differ from other Christian denominations. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints states “They acknowledge the Father as the ultimate object of their worship, the Son as Lord and Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit as the messenger and revealer of the Father and the Son. But where Latter-day Saints differ from other Christian religions is in their belief that God and Jesus Christ are glorified, physical beings and that each member of the Godhead is a separate being.”
These beliefs originate with the first vision. This event is when Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joeseph Smith in 1820. Joseph describes the experience, “It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!”
The scriptures further back this doctrine. The Bible states, in Matthew 13:16-17,
“And Jesus, when he was
, went up out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the of God descending like a , and lighting upon him:And lo a
from heaven, saying, This is my , in whom I am well pleased.”
These verses show us the three individual beings that make up the Godhead. Jesus Christ is being baptized, the Holy Ghost is present in the form of a dove, and we hear the voice of Heavenly Father from heaven.
The Godhead is comprised of three individual beings, Heavenly Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. They are all individual beings with unique attributes and roles in the plan of salvation, but they all have the same goal. The Godhead is unified in purpose. They all work to bring to pass the plan of salvation so we can live together again in their presence.

I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment. He knows what our potential is.*** *** ***Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.*** *** ***I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
*** *** *** *** ***Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.*** *** ***President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world. *** *** ***The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.*** *** ***The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today. Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.*** *** ***Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
