10 of the Best LDS Easter Quotes
Aleah Ingram April 7, 2023
Easter
is one of the most important holidays for Christians around the world. It is a
time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is a fundamental
tenet of the faith. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, we celebrate Easter with great enthusiasm. It is a time to reflect on
the life and teachings of our Savior and to renew our commitment to follow Him.
Here are some of the best Easter quotes from LDS leaders that inspire us to do
just that:
“Easter
is a time to lift up our voices in praise, to rejoice in the resurrection of
Jesus Christ, and to renew our commitment to follow Him.” – President Thomas S.
Monson
“Because
of the Resurrection, we have hope and assurance that we too will live again.
This knowledge can bring us peace and comfort in times of trial.” – Elder M.
Russell Ballard
“As we
celebrate Easter, let us remember that it is not just a time for chocolate
bunnies and Easter eggs. It is a time to remember the sacrifice that Jesus
Christ made for us and to renew our commitment to follow Him.” – Sister Linda
K. Burton
“The
Resurrection is the most important event in human history. It gives us hope for
the future and reminds us of the love that our Heavenly Father has for us.” –
President Russell M. Nelson
“The
empty tomb is the greatest evidence of the reality of the Resurrection. It is a
symbol of hope and a reminder that Jesus Christ is our Savior.” – Elder D. Todd
Christofferson
“The
Resurrection is the ultimate triumph of good over evil, light over darkness,
and life over death. It is a reminder that we can overcome anything through the
power of Jesus Christ.” – Elder David A. Bednar
“Easter
is a time to remember that Jesus Christ not only died for us but also rose
again. This is the greatest act of love in all of history, and it should
inspire us to love others as He loves us.” – Sister Bonnie H. Cordon
“The
Resurrection is a testament to the divinity of Jesus Christ. It shows that He
is indeed the Son of God and that His teachings are true.” – Elder Jeffrey R.
Holland
“Easter
is a time to reflect on the blessings that come from following Jesus Christ. It
is a time to renew our commitment to Him and to live His teachings more fully.”
– Sister Jean B. Bingham
“The Resurrection
is not just a historical event. It is a reality that can change our lives
today. It is a reminder that we can be forgiven, that we can overcome sin and
death, and that we can have eternal life.” – President Henry B. Eyring
These
LDS Easter quotes remind us of the true meaning of this important holiday. They
inspire us to reflect on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, to renew our
commitment to follow Him and to share His love with others. As we celebrate
Easter this year, may we remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us
and strive to live His teachings more fully in our daily lives.

Provides Update on
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland’s HealthThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints has released the following statement:
As announced last weekend, Elder Jeffrey R.
Holland was excused from General Conference due to the fact he and Sister
Patricia Holland are both suffering from the effects of Covid. Elder Holland
also recently began dialysis for a kidney condition. Consequently, the First
Presidency has excused him from all Church assignments and meetings for at
least two months to allow his medical treatments and recovery to take full
effect. Elder and Sister Holland note that they are very grateful for all the
prayers and outpouring of support offered in their behalf at this time.
Elder Holland shared the following message
online after it was announced he would not attend Conference:
Dear friends, one of the great joys that Pat
and I have in life is participating in General Conference each April and
October. We always love being with you and growing in our relationship with the
Savior and our understanding of His gospel through all the uplifting music,
instruction, and testimony.
Unfortunately, we both recently tested positive
for Covid and are not able to attend this weekend. While disappointed, I must
confess that I am looking forward to the fact that, for the first time in my
ministry, I’ll get to sit back and enjoy conference while holding hands with my
sweetheart! We will be watching together, and praying for all of you and for
those who will be participating on the program.
May I also take this moment to express my
gratitude for the Savior Jesus Christ this Palm Sunday weekend. As we move into
Holy Week tomorrow morning, in preparation for Easter Sunday next week, I hope
you will join me in recognizing and appreciating that all sins and sorrows, all
disappointment and depression, all temptation and all tears may be put behind
us through the divinity, atoning sacrifice, and triumphant resurrection of the
Lord Jesus Christ.

"Raiders of the Lost Ark" from 1981.
Raiders of the Lost Ark[a] is a 1981 American action-adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Lawrence Kasdan, based on a story by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman. Set in 1936, the film stars Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, a globetrotting archaeologist vying with Nazi German forces to recover the long-lost Ark of the Covenant which is said to make an army invincible. Teaming up with his tough former romantic interest Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen), Jones races to stop rival archaeologist Dr. René Belloq (Paul Freeman) from guiding the Nazis to the Ark and its power.Lucas conceived Raiders of the Lost Ark in the early 1970s. Seeking to modernize the serial films of the early 20th century, he developed the idea further with Kaufman, who suggested the Ark as the film's goal. Lucas eventually focused on developing his 1977 film Star Wars. Development on Raiders of the Lost Ark resumed that year when he shared the idea with Spielberg, who joined the project several months later. While the pair had ideas for set pieces and stunts for the film, they hired Kasdan to fill in the narrative gaps between them. Principal photography began in June 1980 on a $20 million budget, and concluded that September. Filming took place on sets at Elstree Studios, England, and on location mainly in La Rochelle, France, Tunisia, and Hawaii.
Pre-release polling showed little audience interest in the film, especially compared to Superman II. Despite this, Raiders of the Lost Ark became the highest-grossing film of 1981, earning approximately $330.5 million worldwide, and played in some theaters for over a year. It was a critical success, receiving praise for its modern take on the serial genre, its non-stop action and adventure, and the performances of the cast, particularly of Ford, Allen, and Freeman. The film was nominated for several awards, and won five Academy Awards, seven Saturn Awards, and one BAFTA, among other accolades.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is now considered one of the greatest films ever made, and has had a lasting impact on popular culture, spawning a host of imitators across several media and inspiring other filmmakers. The United States Library of Congress selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry in 1999. Raiders of the Lost Ark is the first entry in what became the Indiana Jones franchise, which includes four more films—Temple of Doom (1984), Last Crusade (1989), Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008), and Dial of Destiny (2023)—a teleion series, video games, comic books, novels, theme park attractions, toys, and an amateur remake.
