Traces of Time . . .{Last week: Scroll to end and click "Older Posts" at bottom right.}
On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020.
Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and posterity to come.

Today is the funeral of our

I was not able to go to his funeral and it wasn't on a webcast. Here are some photos of him and his wife, Lucile Hunsaker Campbell, who was also in our
Class of 1957.

Family is Everything…
This quote is not true for me, but it
did make me chuckle:
The best babysitters, of course, are the baby’s grandparents. You feel completely comfortable entrusting your baby to them for long periods, which is why most grandparents flee to Florida. ― Dave Barry, humor columnist

Julie told me last night that
Season 5 of
The Crown just came out.
I watched Episodes 1 and 2 last night
and hope to watch another tonight.
I think Queen Elizabeth II was
foreordained to be
Queen of England, and
fulfilled that calling well.
She had deep faith and
trust in God.
The first Season of the Crown
premiered in Nov 2016.
It goes from Elizabeth's
marriage to Prince Phillip in 1947
to the birth of her fourth
and last child in 1960s.
Season 2, 3, 4, came
out between then and now
Season 5 has begun.
They acknowledge some inaccuracies,
but it has been fascinating to
follow the lives of the
members of the Royal Family
of Great Britain.
I have not seen Season 4,
but I did follow Seasons 1-2-3.

Family is Everything…
I had an appointment for an
ultrasound today.
The results are that
everything is normal.
These three darling gals
at the Imagery Center helped me a lot.
They gave their permission to
have their photos on my blog.
Jodi, Gina, and Lauren.
The sun was shining but
it was still cold and windy
when I left
It's always nice
to get back home.
And it's always fun when
Riggy gets home from school.

BYU? No more silent
Saturdays in November
When Cougars part ways with independence in 2023, they will also say goodbye to late-season byes

Jeffrey D. Allred, Deseret News
"Some goodbyes are easier than others. In BYU’s case, saying adios to silent
Saturdays in November will be a raucous occasion. The late-season byes
represent the cost of independence when your name isn’t Notre Dame
and BYU has paid a high price..."

Eric Luedtke II reported his
Washington Vancouver Mission today.
He said he hoped he wouldn't say
anything stupid today. He's been
home 5 days and had forgotten
how busy and complicated life
can be.
He said his life is happy because
of Jesus Christ.

** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.
At the end of this November 13th,
I pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.
He loves us just
as we are at this very moment.
He knows what our potential is.

Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.

I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead.
Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."

Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.

President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.

The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today. Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.

Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
