Ashley's friend, Joshua Teiko Fonua, developed a
heart problem out of the blue in mid-March. He
exercises and eats healthy. So far they can
only trace this problem to last July when he
may have had a light case of Covid.
Update from later: When he was life flighted to Stanford Hospital in April, they determined that he had not had Covid but it was the Covid vaccine that had attacked his heart.

and prayers. Thus far, he is
somewhat stable overall, but his
heart continues to function at a

reached end-stage heart failure.
Doctors will surgically implant the

When life doesn’t turn out as expected, some “may feel betrayed by God.” However, Heavenly Father’s plan is not “a cosmic vending machine where we select a desired blessing, insert the required sum of good works and the order is promptly delivered.”
Individuals must do their best while trusting that Heavenly Father will make good on His promises.

- In 1968, he married Kathy Jacob. The two met at a football game — at the time, he had been helping with crowd control, and she was a Cougarette. They are the parents of five children.
