*** *** *** *** *** *** *** I just saw this on "What Matters Most"...Walt and I had children because we wanted to andalso because it was a commandment.I don't know if we had asmany children as we shouldhave, but it was betweenthe two of us and the Lord.
In the quote below, Elder Andersen says "...who areable to bear children."[I am sad for those coupleswho want to have childrenand are physically not able to.]I am happy that each ofour children were able toand did have children.Since my mother hadmedical complicationsafter I was born, she wastold by her doctor that shewould probably never havemore children. When I was age ten, she wasable to have another baby girl. When Janice, was two, Momtried to have another babyand almost died. She hada tubal pregnancy and started hemorraging somuch that Dr. Scheel toldher after her surgery shewas his patient who cameclosest to dying, but didn't,that he ever had.I am thankful I did not losemy mother at age 31,she lived to be 93.Because of her medicalcondition, I thought maybeI would not be able to have children, or onlyone or two.Walt and I felt so blessedto be able to haveseven children. We feel blessed that theyare honest and are hardworkers.Thank you to each one forbringing joy into our lives!Daily Scripture: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. - Genesis 1:28
Daily Quote: It is a crowning privilege of a husband and wife who are able to bear children to provide mortal bodies for these spirit children of God. We believe in families, and we believe in children. - Neil L. Andersen

Family is Everything... Come, Follow MeDaily Scripture: And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. - John 6:35
