passed away. We were in

the same book club for

49 years --

Lenora June Tilley - June 24, 1938 ~ March 23, 2022

"Burley, Idaho — Lenora June Tilley, best known as “June” passed away on March 23, 2022. She lived a life filled with service. June was active in community functions, passionate in her church callings, and always showed up to visit dear friends in need. She exemplified a cheerful attitude and a compassionate heart and simply had the brightest smile. She will be dearly missed by many, yet dearly welcomed by her late husband Richard (Dick) Tilley and many others who preceded her in death in 1997.

 A celebration of June's life will be held on Saturday, April 9th 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Star church building located at 96 S 200 W in Burley, ID. Visitation will be Friday April 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Morrison Payne Funeral home located at 321 E Main in Burley, ID. An additional visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 AM preceding the funeral service. Services will conclude with burial in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at morrisonpaynefuneralhome.com"

I just saw this on 

"What Matters Most"

...Walt and I had children 

because we wanted to and

also because it was a commandment.

I don't know if we had as

many children as we should

have, but it was between

the two of us and the Lord.

In the quote below, Elder 

Andersen says "...who are

able to bear children."

[I am sad for those couples

who want to have children

and are physically not 

able to.]

I am happy that each of

our children were able to

and did have children.

Since my mother had

medical complications

after I was born, she was

told by her doctor that she

would probably never have

more children.

When I was age ten, she was

able to have another baby girl.

When Janice, was two, Mom

tried to have another baby

and almost died. She had

a tubal pregnancy and 

started hemorraging so

much that Dr. Scheel told

her after her surgery she

was his patient who came

closest to dying, but didn't,

that he ever had.

I am thankful I did not lose

my mother at age 31,

she lived to be 93.

Because of her medical

condition, I thought maybe

I would not be able to 

have children, or only

one or two.

Walt and I felt so blessed

to be able to have

seven children.

We feel blessed that they

are honest and are hard

workers.

Thank you to each one for

bringing joy into our lives!

Elder Clayton presided at the

Saturday evening adult session.

Elder Paul N. Clayton, Area Seventy – Called April 2019                       Paul N. Clayton, 64, Sandy, Utah; anesthesiologist; currently serving as a Sandy Utah Crescent Stake presidency counselor; former bishop, bishopric counselor, high councilor, and mission president California San Diego Mission; wife: Holly; six children.

 

President Ryan Woodbury conducted.

Dean Fletcher played the organ.

Sadie Sterratt from our ward

gave the opening prayer.

President Dayne Petersen spoke

about the 

Samantha and David Jacobson

shared how they are handling

Steve Erekson, S. Hills 6th Ward,

shared how he's trying to prepare

Next were President and

Sister Evanson, Mission Leaders

of the Utah Orem Mission. They

began in August 2021. They are from

Lethbridge, Canada. When they

were called they thought they would

be sent somewhere in Canada

because the borders were closed.

So they were surprised when they

were called here to Utah. 

Sis. Evanson focused on what...

President Evanson told that many

new people are coming to Utah,

 fulfilling this scripture--

2 Nephi 12:2-3

The concluding speaker at 8:07

was Elder Clayton, the Area 70.

He told us that the Holy Ghost

was here tonight and that we

have been very well fed already.

The very best teacher is

the Holy Ghost.

He said because it was the

Saturday evening session of

Stake Conference, he could

use his lapel mic and come

off the stand and have a

discussion with everyone.
