Family is Everything…
Today I had an appointment with
Dr. Kimball at the Revere Health Center
in Lehi. He filled out by bi-annual report
to send to the Utah Motor Transportation
Department that states I am okay to drive.
Then I did some shopping at Walmart.
When I got to my car, a note on the window
said my back right tire was flat.
I called Julie and she had me drive over
to "Tires Discount" a couple blocks away
and they filled the tire with air, then
found the leak and sealed it off.
And there was no charge!
They have my tire business from now on!!

What a kind person to leave that note.

First -- I'm remembering
my father on his 109th birthday...
the last 39 have been in heaven.
Arnold Albertson, Age 21 in
Hagerman, Idaho where he grew up.
Summer of 1935
He died at age 69 of colon cancer.
Miss you, Daddy. I think of you as busy
and happy in heaven, reunited with
your eternal sweetheart after she was
a widow for 31 years.

Lunch Bunch day today may be
the end of the Indian Summer weather,
since a big snow storm is forecast
for the next two days.
I went out before it was time for
Sue to pick me up. Luckily, Scott was
in his driveway
I asked him if he had time to take
a photo before I left.
Thanks, Scott. I appreciate good neighbors.
And I appreciated all those gals who have
taken turns giving me a ride each week...

I don't remember even seeing the
sign or this restaurant before.
Lunch specials were very reasonable...
$8.99, which included soup, rice, and egg roll.

We ended up with 13, when Linda H got out of
her doctor's appointment across Red Wood Rd,
and her daughter Julie brought her over.

Married Byrum Heber Prescott
21 May 1874 to 12 Dec 1943 age 69
Married on 10 Jun 1903.
Bide was age 29; Rie age 20
They were married for 40 years.
Rie was a widow for 26 years.
Byrum - 1904 - lived one day
John - 1905-1985
Heber - 1909-1985
Jane -1910-2001
Walter "Dean" - 1915-2005
Thomas - 1918-2003
Mary Theresa "Tess" - 1921-2010
Grama Rie could write a poem for any
occasion without much advance notice.
She sewed temple clothes; she did genealogy.
She was a stake Relief Society president
for many years. She could have a dinner on
the table quickly for unexpected relatives
or friends--which included killing, plucking,
and cooking the chickens--along with
everything else needed for the meal.
She owned a millinery (hats--men and women)
shop in Clifton, Idaho
(southeastern Idaho before they moved to
Wendell.) She was quite the woman I am told.
