the end of the Indian Summer weather,
since a big snow storm is forecast
for the next two days.
I wanted a photo of me outside so I went out before it was time for
Sue to pick me up. Luckily, Scott was
in his driveway
I asked him if he had time to take
a photo before I left.
Thanks, Scott. I appreciate good neighbors.
And I appreciated all those gals who have
taken turns giving me a ride each week...
Sharon, Sandi, Sue, Kathie, Linda B,
and Linda H, plus Tammy when we go to Springville.
Lunch Bunch was at Red 8 #2 in the

Next week--Dec 15--we are gathering at the home

Tammy said just bring something simple.
Then we will not gather again

Tonight it is the original movie from 1966
Wednesday movie night...
Dr. Seuss's
How The Grinch Stole Christmas!
Dr. Seuss's
How The Grinch Stole Christmas!
How The Grinch Stole Christmas!
Narrated by Boris Karloff in 1966
Last week we did the Jim Carey version
from 2000-something
And next week we are ending with the 2018
GMI version. Analysis Info from Wikipedia:
"Some writers, including Dr. Seuss himself, have made a connection between the Grinch and Dr. Seuss. In the story, the Grinch laments that he has had to put up with the Whos' celebration of Christmas for 53 years. ...Dr. Seuss was 53 when he wrote and published the book. Dr. Seuss himself asserted the connection in an article in the December 1957 edition of Redbook: "I was brushing my teeth on the morning of the 26th of last December when I noticed a very Grinch-ish countenance in the mirror. It was Seuss! So I wrote about my sour friend, the Grinch, to see if I could rediscover something about Christmas that obviously I'd lost." Seuss's step-daughter, Lark Dimond-Cates, stated in a speech in 2003, "I always thought the Cat... was Ted on his good days, and the Grinch was Ted on his bad days." Cohen notes that Seuss drove a car with a license plate that read "GRINCH"."
