Family is Everything…
 Institute 10:00-11:15 every Tuesday.
Camie Williams is our outstanding teacher.
Today was "The Parable of
 the Hidden Treasure,
the Pearl of Great Price and the
Gospel Net "
If you click on picture,
you can read the print..
Parables of Christ teach us so much.
What am I willing to sacrifice and
consecrate for the
Kingdom of God?

Ham dinner with cheesy potatoes,
corn, rolls, and dessert.
The program featured different
aspects of the Savior's birth.
Those attending were divided into
groups. Our group's first room was
with the Three Wise Men.

Christmas Party
Anja, Amalene, and Adele
were in our group.
Next were the shepherds. At the time
of Christ's birth, the shepherds near
Jerusalem, whom the angels came to,
were the ones who raised the lambs that
were chosen as the sacrifices for the temple.
When a first-born lamb without blemish was
born, it was wrapped in swaddling cloths and
put in the manger to keep it from getting
bruised. So the proclamation from the
Angels "you will find the babe wrapped in
swaddling clothes lying in a manger" had
meaning to them. (Shepherds never leave
their sheep unattended...) However, they
"made haste" leaving their sheep to go
see the prophesied "Lamb Without Blemish"
the Messiah, the Lamb of God, the
Savior of the World!
Joseph in his carpenter shop...

He was mine."

and has a serious break to her hip. We're praying
for her recovery as she has surgery on Tue, Dec 21.)
...the performers ended with a beautiful
song about Christmas and Christ.
Our ward is abounding with much talent.
Thank you Stephanie and committee
for bringing in the Spirit of Christ
and Christmas so strongly!
We felt the Spirit of Christ
and Christmas  strongly!
Merry Christmas
The bishop closed with an
invitation to share the
Spirit we felt tonight with
everyone we meet.
 Bryant & Kathie...
 Everyone helping to put chairs,
tables and everything away.
It probably took several hours to set up...
Now with everyone's help...
...including the kids...
...it will be cleaned up in less...
...than an hour.

He is one of the unsung heroes for

This sweet expectant in our ward,

For our Wednesday night movie ...
Gary and I saw the third version of
Dr. Seuss' Grinch
from 2018 with Cumberbatch.
I like to know some background...
but just skip if you're not interested.
Info from Wikipedia:

The Grinch (also known as Dr. Seuss' The Grinch) is a 2018 American computer-animated Christmas fantasy comedy film produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. Based on the 1957 [Eileen's comment: I graduated from Wendell High School in Idaho in 1957.] book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss, it is the third screen adaptation of the story, following the 1966 television special starring Boris Karloff and the 2000 live-action feature-length film starring Jim Carrey.  ...the film stars the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch as the eponymous GrinchRashida JonesKenan ThompsonAngela Lansbury and Pharrell Williams who serves as the narrator. The plot follows the Grinch and his pet dog Max as they plan to ruin Whoville's Christmas celebration by stealing all the town's decorations and gifts.

The Grinch was released and distributed by Universal Pictures in the United States on November 9, 2018... It grossed over $511 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Christmas film of all time, as well as the highest-grossing Dr. Seuss film adaptation. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the animation and the vocal performances, but felt the film added little or nothing new to the source material. This was the final Dr. Seuss film adaptation released during the lifetime of Seuss' widow Audrey Geisel, who served as executive producer of the film and died on December 19, 2018, five weeks after the film's release.

I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation
and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ
that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this December 19th,
I pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  He loves us just as we are at this very moment.
*** *** ***
Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.
*** *** ***
Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.
*** *** ***
President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.
*** *** ***
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.
*** *** ***
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Restored Church on the earth today.

Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
