                                                   August 24, 2020 - as it has turned

                                                          till Dec. 10, 2020

                                                 ...Finnish Consulate opened

                                             finally and Anna received her visa.

                                                  Sacramento Temple reopened,

                                                 Anna received her Endowment on

                                                          October 27, 2020

                    ...and now flies to Finland on Dec. 10th,

                                           three days after your birthday.

                                              You are in our prayers.

[Added Dec 15: Anna has been assigned to the east side of Finland--a place 20 miles from the Russian border. David said she is closer to St. Petersburg, Russia than to Helsinki! And can you believe her companion is a Burley girl! Jeff Kerbs g-daughter, 

Sister Terry, Jenger Kerbs Terry's daughter. Remember Jeff was married to Cindy Cranney from Oakley, and one of their daughters is Jenger.  Julie said when Gordan Kerbs was her Burley High School basletball coach, his two little nieces were the water girls for the team--Jenger was one of them. And now her dau is David's daughter's missionary companion.

But then you've all heard that "Burley is the center of the universe" --I think the quote originated with Aaron Taylor who added that anywhere you go you meet someone from Burley or who knows or is related to someone in B U R L E Y ,  I D A H O.]

Walt just put on long-term hospice.

                     Dr. Jerry Brewer did surgery on me today

                                at Mayo Clinic - Rochester, Minnesota

                               He got all the borders of the squamous

                              cell carcinoma from the right side of

                                           my nose and the top of my head.

                                       Thank you, Dr. Brewer for being     

                                               the best at what you do!

                                                                                                    

                    Jen took good care of me back at their home.

Ross & Karen came.

Haven't seen them for ages!

Karen brought delicious 

carmel corn she and Leslie made.

And, BYU pulled off their 10th win!

28-14 over San Diego...but it wasn't

for sure until the last minute!

Family is Everything... 

 We always enjoy having the

Cheney's over for dinner.

 Great friends to Julie and John...

And another SERENDIPITY...

Bill & Pat Burk came to see me.

They were Executive Secretaries to

the Area Presidency in the

South America South Area

when we served in Argentina,

Uruguay and Paraguay 2008-2010.

Then they were President and Matron

of the Guatemala Temple, where the

temple missionaries for our San Salvador

El Salvador Temple--Lon and Nancy Thompson--

from Jerome, Idaho--

served in that temple, and Lon was called

as counselor to President Burk.

So great to see them!

I think they live in Salem, Utah or

thereabouts.

It's always so nice to see those friends

we served missions with!

They raised their family in

Puerto Rico where Bill was

with the FBI.

The days are almost to hit the

even mark...

...then start getting longer.

 *** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this December 13th,

I pray you have had a

restful , peaceful, and spiritual

Sabbath Day...

I share these truths as my testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  He loves us just as we are at this very moment.

just two days apart in December...

Here's part of my day...

our crazy missionaries sent

a big box of ice cream from

Fed Ex for my birthday.

No wonder it said:

"Open Immediately!"

Here's more of my day...

 Darling nurse at new Revere Health Center

in Lehi checked my vitals...

Dr. Kimball filled out a

form that DMV sent...

(Dept of Motor Vehicles)

I guess when you're turning

82, you have to be certified

by your physician as capable

of still driving.

I passed...

Liked the purple and

turquoise tree in their office.

...and the "Joy" tree

by the entrance...

...is cheery.

And who wouldn't

take a photo...

...of a darling pink

bug in the McDonald's drive thru

while getting my monthly

Sausage McMuffin--

no egg, no cheese.

And the rest of my day

was filled with more errands

to Walmart where I got to

talk with Walt's wonderful

hospice nurse, Karen, whom

Julie did a #LightTheWorld 

post on facebook.

Final stop Costco where

they bumped up the sound

for my hearing aids.

Saw the perfect gift

for someone...

then home.

skip 81, then just turn 82 the
