red, white, and blue head bow.
John and Julie took his siblings
boating...
and had bar-b-qued
ribs in late afternoon.
Steve and Natalie took us to eat...
...at Black Bear Diner.
We were invited to the Howells
for neighborhood fireworks...
...which were better than
...any neighborhood fireworks
we'd ever seen.
It seems no expense was
spared for this hour's
...spectacular display of
ground and arial array!
After the first sky-high fireworks,
I kept thinking it must be the finale...
it was so stunning...then it
kept going and going, each
more amazing than the one
before. Thanks, Howells, and
whoever else provided such a
phenomenal reminder...

 of our
Freedoms which began back on
JULY 4, 1776
when the
Declaration of Independence
was signed by those __
brave and faithful
FOUNDING FATHERS.
Spencer Nelson gave a
great summary of what
they gave for their bold
move to sign that innovative
Declaration to gain our
Independence back on
that July 4th those
The United States celebrates the Fourth of July, or Independence Day, with fireworks as a tradition continued down through history since the initial year the country's independence was celebrated. The first celebration, which came one year after the Declaration of Independence was signed, began and ended with 13 fireworks being set off from the city's commons.
After that first celebration in Philadelphia, Boston held its own celebration with fireworks, and the tradition grew from there. Explorer Richard Byrd even set off fireworks in Antarctica. The original tradition behind fireworks was to symbolize the 13 states of the union as 13 fireworks were set off at the beginning and of the celebration. However, it evolved as more states joined the union.

The Great Prologue...
And because the
United States of America was
a free country, Joseph Smith
was allowed to restore --
by revelation from
Heavenly Father
and Jesus Christ...
The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints,
which was organized
on April 6, 1830.

We are so thankful for The Plan of Salvation
and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ
that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this July 7th,
we pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...

We share these truths as our testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  He loves us just as we are at this very moment.
*** *** ***
Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.
*** *** ***
Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.
*** *** ***
President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.
*** *** ***
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.
*** *** ***
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.

Of these truths we testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
