Family is Everything…
Today we went to our residential
hot-springs pool with Julie and Riggy.
It was so refreshing and relaxing.
This evening we watched the end
of "Lawrence of Arabia."
Lawrence of Arabia is a 1962 epic historical drama film based on the life of T. E. Lawrence. It was directed by David Lean and produced by Sam Spiegel through his British company Horizon Pictures and Columbia Pictures, with the screenplay by Robert Bolt and Michael Wilson and starring Peter O'Toole in the title role. The film, a British and American co-production, depicts Lawrence's experiences in the Ottoman Empire's provinces of Hejaz and Greater Syria during World War I, in particular his attacks on Aqaba and Damascus and his involvement in the Arab National Council. Its themes include Lawrence's emotional struggles with the personal violence inherent in war, his own identity, and his divided allegiance between his native Britain and its army, and his new-found comrades within the Arabian desert tribes. The film also stars Alec GuinnessJack HawkinsAnthony QuinnOmar SharifAnthony QuayleClaude Rains, and Arthur Kennedy.
Lawrence of Arabia was nominated for ten Oscars at the 35th Academy Awards in 1963; it won seven in total, including Best Picture and Best Director. It also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Drama and the BAFTA Awards for Best Film and Outstanding British Film. In the years since, it has been recognised as one of the greatest and most influential films in the history of cinema. The dramatic score by Maurice Jarre and the Super Panavision 70 cinematography by Freddie Young are also highly acclaimed. In 1991, Lawrence of Arabia was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and selected for preservation in the US Library of Congress National Film Registry. In 1998, the American Film Institute placed it 5th greatest American film on their 100 Years...100 Movies list, and 7th on their 2007 updated list. In 1999, the British Film Institute named the film the third-greatest British film of all time. It was voted among the 100 Greatest American Films by American Film Institute (AFI) in 1998. In 2004, it was voted the best British film of all time in a Sunday Telegraph poll of Britain's leading filmmakers.

Family is Everything…
Marci helped Walt start his day.

I got my bottom left wisdom
tooth pulled out today.
It had a cavity and my dentist,
Dr. Greenwood, recommended
that I have it pulled out.
"It should have come out years ago,"
is actually what he said.
So he referred me to an Oral Surgeon,
Dr. Jared Rasmussen.

Walt gave me a husband's priesthood
blessing before we went, because
he knew how much I was
dreading it.

One reason Dr. Greenwood referred me
to someone else and didn't just
pull the wisdom tooth out himself
is because I have such a bad gag
reflex that the x-ray tech could
hardly get the apparatus in
that far back to take the x-ray.

Everything went smoothly and
I attribute to not only a
great Oral Surgeon who
is not only a DMD, but an MD,
but also a great priesthood
blessing from my husband!
(Julie will send me the
photo she took of me.)

Family is Everything...
Surprisingly, I have not had to
take a pain pill. I slept okay.
I have not bled very much.
Today I'm following the
"Post Surgery Instructions"
to Rinse in 1 tsp salt mixed
into 12 oz of warm water
for 30 seconds - 3 to 4 times a day.
Then I also have a prescription
mouth wash for twice a day.
Amoxicillin 500 MG 3x a day
until the 21 quantity is gone.
 I'm thankful for the
Priesthood blessing Walt gave me,
and for a great Oral Surgeon.

We went to the Club House
to bicycle.
A nice fellow took
our photo.
 It's 82  degrees today.
 As we drove away,
Walt said: "Let's go see
the temple site."
He thought someone said they
were starting to clear the land,
but I reminded him that that
won't happen until they have
the Temple Groundbreaking.
Gary came for movie night.

We chose Westerns for June,
so we watched
"The Magnificent Seven"
from 1960.

The Magnificent Seven is a 1960 American Western film directed by John Sturgesand starring Yul BrynnerEli WallachSteve McQueenCharles BronsonRobert VaughnBrad DexterJames Coburn and Horst Buchholz. The film is an Old West–style remake of Akira Kurosawa's 1954 Japanese film Seven Samurai. Brynner, McQueen, Bronson, Vaughn, Dexter, Coburn and Buchholz portray the title characters, a group of seven gunfighters hired to protect a small village in Mexico from a group of marauding bandits (whose leader is played by Wallach). The film's musical score was composed by Elmer Bernstein. In 2013, the film was selected for the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Family is Everything...
Marci helped Walt start his day.
Karen came for her weekly
Utah Home Health check up.
Walt blood pressure today
is 138/76.
Karen is an excellent nurse!
We went to bicycle this afternoon.

No one to take our photo.
Walt likes to look out at the
Utah Lake...
 It had gotten cloudy...
and was raining when we
went outside.
                       The boat is back.
 Time for supper.
Jacee's friend Ryan is visiting.
                    We watched some of
                      "A Bridge Too Far."
It is a sad movie.

FLAG DAY
FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2019
Family is Everything…
Our 58th Wedding Anniversary
Married June 14, 1961
in the Salt Lake Temple.
Walt was 27; I was 22.
Our parents were always
a great support to us...
My Dad, Arnold G. Albertson
was age 48.
My Mom, Verna Huffaker Albertson
was age 41.
Walt's Dad, Ray O. Petersen
was age 43.
Walt' Mom, Jane Prescott Petersen
was age 50.

                       One of my favorite wedding
reception photos...

                What precious memories                                   *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
...and here's what we did today...
Since it's so hard for us to go shopping
now, yesterday we ordered Walt a pair
of Levi-Strauss levis, and a new robe
for me. They will come next week, but
we're good with that.
We had breakfast at Denny's. Hot chocolate and pancakes.
 We couldn't get a good
photo in front of the window.

I think you can see us a
little better in this one.

Julie, Jackson, Maddie,
and Riggy picked John up
from a golf tourney and
headed to Burley/Declo,Idaho,
this afternoon.
Jacee stayed home because
she couldn't get anyone to trade
her double Saturday shift with.
Gary came to stay overnight
in case we had any health problems.

 Janie and Shawn and
the Fisher Family sent us
these beautiful lavender
roses and same color flowers
for our anniversary.
Thank you!
This is also what we did
on our anniversary.
 It was a nice day.
We finally had a flag for Flag Day
when we went to Chuck-a-Rama
for supper tonight.

Yes, they still put the flag out
on our Anniversary.
Gary helped Walt get his food.
 Thanks, Gary, for all you
do for us.
  We can look like pioneers
when we stand by the chuck wagon.
  Gary drove us around the
carnival rides for the
Saratoga Springs Splash Days.
d
Cars were parked for blocks away.
We saw fireworks as we drove away.
 For most of our anniversaries
we have done a temple session.
However, it didn't happen this year.
This was a quieter and less
celebrated anniversary.
We're just old and tired.

SATURDAY, JUNE 15, 2019
Family is Everything…
 Gary cooked a delicious
breakfast of eggs, hashbrowns,
yogurt with granola, and fruit.
 Thanks, Gary, for staying overnight
while Julie and John and family
are in Declo, Idaho, to be with
John's Dad for Father's Day.
 Marci comed later on Saturday.
  Gary and Isaac checked out
paddle boards and other things
for the Saturday activities for
the WEPR next week.
 We bought apples, in case
I got the energy to make a
homemade apple pie for Walt
for tomorrow.
 I didn't.
  So I baked him a
Marie Callender's apple pie.
We had a couple of naps, shopped for
my medicine and groceries at Walmart,
and enjoyed having Isaac and Gary here.
Max enjoyed having Gary and Max here
so he got some more vigorous play
time than we can do with him.

We are so thankful for The Plan of Salvation
and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ
that makes this Great Plan operational.
At the end of this June 16th,
we pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...

We share these truths as our testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  He loves us just as we are at this very moment.
*** *** ***
Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.
*** *** ***
Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.
*** *** ***
President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.
*** *** ***
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.
*** *** ***
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.
*** *** ***
Of these truths we testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
