we went to see Boyd and Dee Poulton
in Orem tonight. We hadn't seen
them for a long time.
Boyd has been at the Covington
Assisted Living in Orem for about a year
because of dementia.

Westerns by watching
The Cowboys
from 1972 starring John Wayne.
The Cowboys is a 1972 American western film starring John Wayne, Roscoe Lee Browne, Slim Pickens, Colleen Dewhurst, and Bruce Dern. Robert Carradine made his film debut with fellow child actor Stephen Hudis as cowboys. It was filmed at various locations in New Mexico, Colorado, and at Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank, California. Based on the novel by William Dale Jennings...
The film is also infamous for being one of the very few in which John Wayne’s character is killed, and the only one where he is killed by the main antagonist.

to lunch for their birthdays...
has closed.
we got to go see Sarah and Kenny's
new home where they will be
moving in a couple of weeks.
Ashley and Tyler were with Sarah,
Emily is at EFY at BYU.
we don't get to be together
very often so it was a treat.
The Days are just a few blocks from
where they built their home in 2001.

We are so thankful for The Plan of Salvation
and the Atonement of Jesus Christ
that makes this Great Plan operational.
At the end of this June 30th,
we pray you have had a
restful , peaceful, and spiritual
Sabbath Day...
We share the testimony of our Prophet
with you tonight...
"These are truths that
open the heavens and allow us to draw upon the power of God. These are truths
that will lead to blessings and happiness here and to “never-ending happiness”
in the world to come. These seven truths are:
1. God is our Father.
2. Jesus Christ is our Savior.
2. Jesus Christ is our Savior.
3. We are children of God.
4. The Book of Mormon is the word of God.
5. The priesthood has been restored and the heavens
are open.
6. Every member has a role to play in the gathering
of Israel.
7. Joy comes from keeping the commandments of the
Lord.
I pray that each of us will internalize these
truths. I bless you to feast on the words of the Lord Jesus Christ and apply
His teachings in your lives. As you spend time in the scriptures and in the
temple, I bless you with increased capacity to receive revelation. I bless you
with love at home.
