Today -- Our last day in Rochester, Minnesota

Jen teaching Seminry at 6:10 in the morning...

Sarah helping her Grampa out to the car after Seminary.

Sarah is a beautiful, talented,
smart, and compassionate
15-year old.
All good things come to an end...
Jen drove us to the Rochester Airport
It's been a great 5 days together...

Thanks, Gary, for all you do for us!
We're off to see Julie and Rigdon...
How fun that Rigdon wanted to be in the
photos with us.
Now we're off to Idaho and home...

Today we went to the temple.
It's a great blessing to be able
to be with Dale and Connie each week
at the temple.
At the viewing of Hallie Heiner,
his youngest daughter who lives in
Nebraska was excited to see
her "doctor" she had growing up.
 Among his mementos,
we thought this clock was clever.
Hallie taught chemistry at Minico
for many years.

This morning Walt did physical therapy,
then we went to the funeral for Hallie Heiner.
We had an interesting  book discussion, led by
Ralph Carlson on Kindred, a science fiction novel by
American writer Octavia E. Butler.
"Part time-travel tale and part slave narrative, it was first
published in 1979 and is still widely popular."
Attending today:
Sydna Keating; Alice Long, guest; Ralph Carlson,
Jean Hamblin, Kathryn Hall, Marie Lambert,
and having to leave before the photo was taken:
Kathleen Hedberg.

Here are the same members, with Eileen Petersen, back center.

Ruth invited us to have dinner
with her and the missionaries at her home.
She always sets a beautiful table.
And Ruth is a wonderful cook -- Roast beef dinner...

Elder Smith on the left has been here several months,
Elder Losse on the right just arrived in Boise yesterday,
and this is his first day in Burley. He is from Texas.
We are thankful for missionaries.

We ended the day by attending
the Magic Philharmonic Symphony's
Fall Concert.
Spectacular performance...
wonderful music.

Today Kathleen helped us for
two hours with family history,
as she does each Friday morning that
we are both in town.

Walt's back several generations on
his Grandmother Nellie Katie Olsen Petersen's
line in Sweden.
 Thought this was so clever...
putting nutcrackers with the
display of holiday nuts.
 Never can capture the spectacular
sunset in a photo...
at 5:42 today.

Today we drove to Twin Falls
with Dave and Marilyn Gibbons.
 We had a reunion dinner
with our San Salvador
El Salvador
Temple Missionaries.
We always had great pot luck
dinners in San Salvador...
  We love to get together...
 Lon and Nancy Thompson...
 Dave and Marilyn Gibbons...
  Trent and Arlene Kitley...
 Dave presented then with
fun "Alligator" spray for Florida,
and a Certificate from those who
"Love Y'all."

Marilyn made a delicious cherry
dessert with recipe from Nancy Curtis,
wife of the Twin Falls Idaho Mission.

All too soon it's time to leave...
  Walt and Eileen
 Lon and Nancy...
Trent and Arlene...
 Dave and Marilyn...
We may not all be together again
for a very long time...
Florida is far away from Idaho...
Thank you for the pictures.
We had fun with all of our dear friends!   Wish we could put you in our suitcases and take you with us.
We love the gator repellent and hurricane relief certificate Dave!   Can't wait to use the repellent.  We'll let you know how it works.
We are grateful for your friendships and may the Lord's choicest blessings be yours.
Love,

Trent and Arlene

and today's morning session.

I hope to type up my notes soon.
