Family is Everything...
and so are friends.
Today our friend
and neighbor,
passed away...
Nelson
Spencer
1939-2025
Age 85
Nelson had been
a widower for
6 years.
One year ago in,
July 2024, he married
his wife's widowed
sister, Shirlene.
Nelson & Shirlene
had a good year
of happiness together.
We share deep,
heart-felt condolences
to Shirlene, and to his
daughter, Bonnie,
and all of his family.
The above photo was taken
on Sunday, Sep 14, 2025,
the day before they
left on a 2-week trip
to Washington, mainly for
a family wedding.
In Klamath Falls, Oregon,
Nelson had respiratory
problems and was hospitalized
and diagnosed with
pneumonia and someone
said with a blood clot in
his lung.
Here is his daughter, Bonnie's
text from
Tuesday afternoon, Sep 23:
"With
heavy heart, I wanted to let everyone
know that my
dad passed about an hour and a
half ago.
He had
my siblings there and they said it was
very
peaceful and he was comfortable.
I was
able to pass on everyone’s messages
while
he was somewhat responsive.
Thank
you for all of your support and prayers.
Feel
free to spread the word as you please."

It was a tender text from Shirlene on
Monday that said:
"We have started the process to take off the
support systems so Nelson can go to
his reward in heaven."

Here is the text I sent Shirlene on our
Lunch Bunch link, after we received
the sad news from Shirlene, then Bonnie,
of Nelson's passing.
"Shirlene and family, condolences on Nelson's passing.
You had a good year together.
Here's a photo from September 14, when you drove
me ton church the day before you left on your trip.
May you feel the Savior's love and the comfort of
His love for you.

There are 14 more texts of
condolences from other
Lunch Bunch gals that I need to gather and will send later...
This is the first photo I took of
Nelson & Shirlene when she came
to the Ward 4th of July breakfast
to meet us all just before they got
married...July 2024.
Please know of our love for
Nelson & Shirlene
and for
Bonnie, and all of Nelson's family.

Thank you for always being sokind to give me rides to Church when I neededone. Thank you for broadening our horizons byyour insights into what you learned each weekfrom the assigned scriptures, plus the many articles and talks you shared. Tuesdays will not be the same. And how do I explain to our puppy, Max, that his friend, Nelson, won't be here to bring him that "highly-anticipated weekly doggie treat" anymore.
Julie and I went to the
Alpine Fruit Stand
Institute Peaches are $40
for a half bushel.
Back in the day when we
canned a 100 quarts every fall,
peaches cost $1.98 a bushel.

love out of life.” ~ President
Russell M. Nelson
My
heart sorrows, because I loved this man deeply! I am going to miss him. Truly,
without question, he was a Prophet of God! His personal friendship and ministry
changed my world. In fact, he was instrumental in answering my greatest prayer.
And for that, I will be etrnally grateful for him. But through my sorrow I
know, as He often testified, the best is yet to come. Strap in. Eat your
vitamin pills. If you think the Church has been fully restored, you're just
seeing the beginning… because now President Nelson is working on the other side
of the veil!
“Returning
from earth to life in our heavenly home requires passage through—and not
around—the doors of death. We were born to die, and we die to live (see 2 Cor.
6:9). As seedlings of God, we barely blossom on earth; we fully flower in
heaven.” ~ President Russell M. Nelson

Dantzel
White was born on February 17, 1926, on her family’s farm in Perry, Utah.
According to the Deseret News, “her life-long love of music was
inspired by a sister's childhood illness. As a preschooler, she participated in
singing lessons orchestrated by her bedridden sister. After the older sister's
lengthy convalescence and return to Box Elder High School, she invited Dantzel
to perform at numerous school assemblies.
Later,
Sister Nelson's many musical connections at the University of Utah provided a
setting for her courtship with Russell M. Nelson. They met as cast members in
the musical, ‘Hayfoot, Strawfoot.’” [ [They had the lead parts.]
He later proposed to her in the “family pea
patch” and they married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 31, 1945.[1]
While
President Nelson attended years of college, Dantzel taught school and found
other ways to economize and live on a tight budget. She was the mother to nine
daughters and one son.
In addition to rearing a large family, she participated
in the educational activities of her children and served in the PTA.

President Russell M. Nelson married Wendy Watson on April 6, 2006, one year after his wife of 59 years, Dantzel, died at age 78 in February 2005. They had 10 children. ** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ that makes this
Great Plan operational.
At the end of this September 28th,I pray you have had a restful, peaceful, and spiritual Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment.
*** *** ***Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.
“An omnicompetent God leaves all mortals free to choose, but how grateful we should be that God chose long, long ago to rescue and to resurrect all His children through the Atonement of His Son. Nevertheless, some reject and many are indifferent to these and other divine beckonings, mostly because they are too caught up in the cares of the world. They are strangers to the Savior, who is far from the thoughts and intents of their hearts.”Neal A Maxwell
How Choice a Seer!
*** *** ***I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
*** *** *** *** ***Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration. He is the Restorer of all things.*** *** ***President Russell M. Nelson--the Living Prophet for all the world who graduated to heaven last night--has taught us the following:“Keep on the covenant path,” “Gather Israel,” “Let God prevail,” “Build bridges of understanding,” “Give thanks,” “Increase your faith in Jesus Christ,” “Take charge of your testimony,” and “Become a peacemaker.”
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.*** *** ***The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.*** *** ***Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I pray you have had a restful, peaceful, and spiritual Sabbath Day...
I share these truths as my testimony to you...
