  April 10, 2016 - Sunday

Our Church block is 10:50 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.

We teach a one-hour Temple Preparation class in our home
from 4:30-5:30.

April 11, 2016 - Monday

Had the car washed this afternoon, then Walt went grocery shopping with me. For family home evening we watched the 1939 movie of "Treasure Island" with Wally Beery and Jackie Cogan.

April 12, 2016 - Tuesday
I cooked supper for Bobbi Jo Savage who has a broken foot.
I didn't take any photos today.  When I stand so long cooking in the kitchen my back hurts a lot more than usual.

April 13, 2016 - Wednesday

We went earlier to the temple to do sealings at 11:00 a.m. with our Burley Third Ward, then we did a 1:00 session with Dale. Connie is in Salt Lake with her daughter Lori whose daughter Grace had surgery at the Primary Children's Hospital.
Dave Gibbons was just coming to his Wednesday evening temple shift, so he took a photo of us to show the beautiful flowers that were put in this week for the temple yard.
After our temple session, we had a late lunch at Panda Express a mile west of Costco.
Then we did some shopping at Costco for bulk cleaning products that we can get at better price--laundry soap, downy, dishwasher soap, etc.
Dale told us that he loves his black pickup.  He wasn't really anxious to go home to his empty house.  We do pray that Connie will be safe driving back home and that Grace will have a quick recovery.
Sonja Parish (can't ever remember her married name) is over the Hearing Department at Costco.  She checked my hearing aids and put a new tip on one.  She asked us if we knew who our new Area 70 is.  We didn't know, but we later found out it was Derk ____ from American Falls.

This evening was the Burley Third Ward food gathering for the Helping Hands Christian Center.  Everyone was to have their donated food at the Church by 7:30 and then there was a ward ice cream social.

Many scouts helped carry the food from the cultural hall to the pickup.  More than half the food had already been carried out to Bro. McMurray's pick up when I took this photo.  Bryce had all he could lift.
The goal was to collect a "pick-up full of food," which they did.
This photo shows the pick up load of food better.
James Lara helped dish up the ice cream at this table.
Lizzie Lara helped serve the ice cream at this other table.
It was a fun mixture of young and old having banana splits together. Here are Ethan Kemp and Bryce Hale.
Here are D and Karen Taylor, whom we sat by...
Karen tried to relieve Bryce of his second (or was it the third bowl) of ice cream.
We also sat by Dan Black and
It was a great evening.
I tried to get a photo of the sunset as we drove home, but it didn't show up very well.
Our cherry tree is in full bloom.  Hope it doesn't freeze.
April 14, 2016 - Thursday

next I was able to fit in an hour to go to the Library Book Club to hear Lawana Manning review a book by Ann Romney In This Together.  It was interesting and enlightening.
This I got my hair cut at Jenny's. I had cooked enough on Tuesday to have for the dinner tonight for the missionary sisters in our ward...except I had gotten six more thick pork chops to cook another of saucy pork chops, so that dinner was ready at 5:00 when the missionaries came.  We also had invited Ruth Melling to come, also.

And then I forgot to take one photo when we had
