October 12, 2015 - Monday ~ ~
We were excited to head to Stanley Basin this morning.

The sad news is that somewhere between the Galena Summitt Lookout and when we stopped at Lake Alturas, my camera fell out of my pocket and is lost.

SO THERE WILL BE NO PHOTOS FOR THE REST OF THIS WEEK'S BLOG...unless I can figure out how to transfer them from my cell phone to the computer.

next  Since Dale was so sick in the night (we think it was food poisoning) we changed our plans about driving over to Yankee Fork, and headed back home after breakfast.

next  We had changed our temple day because today was the only day this week that the couple could come for their Temple Preparation class.
However, they had a funeral (that, of course, can never be planned ahead) so the class was postponed.

We were planning to go to the temple on Thursday but at the "Meet the Candidates" for City Council, Walt's cell phone rang...Walt reached for it so fast to turn it off, that his cane fell to the floor and made even more noise.

When he returned the call as we were driving home, it was Dale telling us that Connie had had a doctor's appointment come up, so asked if we could change the temple day to Friday.
(I completely forgot that I had told LaRae Crane I could go visiting teaching with her on Friday.)

Today our grandson - Jacob Thad Petersen is 13 years old. He is the son of Gary & Kathy.

Jake, welcome to the teenage world.  We hope you enjoy being a teenager and progressing in the Aaronic Priesthood.  We love you!

October 18, 2015 - Sunday

We went to Anson Call's mission report in Burley 5th Ward.
He has been in the California San Jose Mission.  He only spoke for 6 minutes.  He must have been nervous about taking too much time because the high councilor was also there to speak.
We think Elder Call was a great missionary.

Our block was from 10:50 to 1:50. Sometimes I catch myself having to concentrate because I was so long in countries where I didn't understand the language and couldn't concentrate.

We have been preparing to give a fireside in the View Ward about our 3 years serving as the Temple President and Matron of the San Salvador El Salvador Temple.

It was raining, but we got our visual aids there okay without their getting too wet.

It is a nice time of remembering for us when we get to talk about our time there with the members and working in the new temple.
