On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020.Walt called himself "The last of the old-time country doctors."He delivered about 4,000 babies, among fixing broken hips, other surgeries, and even made house calls.As Janie said in his obituary:"He healed many hearts, heads, hands, and everything in-between."
In the 1950s you had to be 20 to serve a mission. This is Walt in August 1954, on the day he was set apart in Salt Lake City to be a missionary.

Walt was also a carpenter at heart--like his carpenter father, Ray Petersen.

My e-mail post to my kids and grandkids this morning..."Our Posterity of 71... ... Hope you're all having a good week.
I checked my Social Security monthly payment and it said for those 85 and over this was our last full payment and we would be getting just half
from now on.
For spouses who didn't have a full-time salaried career, we did get half of our husband's benefits.
And to think Walt paid into his Social Security for over 50 years!
At first I thought DOGE sounded like a good thing. I guess you have to be affected personally to have it hit
home.
As Gary said, it's like a bait, switch, and hook. Trump's not looking so good to me now.

TodayPreston, the head Physical Therapist, came because Jayden is on a week's vacation.
It rained off and on today.
