The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the dedication and open house dates for the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple.

The temple’s open house period includes an

April 10, 2023, media day and private sessions for invited guests April 11, 2023, with the public

open house beginning Saturday, April 15, and running through July 8, 2023, excluding Sundays.

The Saratoga Springs Utah Temple will be dedicated on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, by

President Henry B. Eyring, second counselor in the First Presidency, with the three sessions

scheduled for 9 a.m., 12 noon and 3 p.m. The sessions will be broadcast to all units within the temple district.

The announced dates were first published

Monday, Nov. 21, on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

Additional details regarding the temple

dedication will be announced at a future date.

The Saratoga Springs Utah Temple was announced in April 2017 by then-Church

President Thomas S. Monson. The three-story temple of approximately 87,000 square feet is located at 897 S. Ensign Drive, west of

Redwood Road in the Beacon Pointe

subdivision. An adjacent meetinghouse of

21,000 square feet was also built on the

22.7-acre site.

Elder Craig C. Christensen, a General

Authority Seventy and then-president of the

Utah Area, presided over the groundbreaking of the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple on Oct. 19,

2019, and offered the dedicatory prayer on the temple site.

Utah is home to not only the world headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day

Saints but also 2.2 million Church members — approximately two-thirds of the state’s population.

In Utah, the Church has 28 total temples — dedicated, under construction or announced.

Utah’s 14 dedicated and operating temples are the BountifulBrigham CityCedar CityDraper, JordanRiverLoganMonticello

Mount TimpanogosOgdenOquirrh Mountain PaysonProvo CityCenterProvo and Vernal temples. The Saratoga Springs temple will be the state’s 15 dedicated and operating temple.

Previously dedicated temples under renovation are the MantiSt. George and Salt Lake temples.

Utah’s 10 under construction are the Deseret PeakEphraimHeberValleyLaytonLindon ,   OremRedCliffsSmithfieldSyracuse and  Taylorsville temples.

There are currently no Utah temples

announced and still in planning and design.

A big thank you to Gary for driving me to
the University of Utah Medical Center
to see the
Rheumatology Specialist,
 Nga A Ly,  APRN
She goes by "Lori"
This is from the March 2018 diagnosis of
RS3PE  "Remitting seronegative
symmetric synovitis with pitting edema."
Having gone this long without reoccurence,
she said I have "graduated" from their
Rheumoloty Clinic and need no more
follow-ups.

She ordered a Covid test--which came back Negative-- for me because my
oxygen saturation test was below normal (88% but then when tested on a different finger it
did barely get into the normal range at 91% )
and my breathing was labored. Plus I have
had a cough since Friday night.

My temp was slightly elevated at 99.5F but
not in "fever" range.
My blood pressure was good at 128/81.

She ordered the Covid test for me at their
UofU Medical Branch in Sugarhouse.
It turned out to be just a seft-drive-thru saliva test in the parking garage,
with results taking 48-96 hours.
(As of Wednesday night still don't have results.) I've had both vaccines--Moderna, and both boosters--Pfizer.

Family is
Forever…
Institute at 10:00
Camie Williams
I didn't go because I was coughing.
The lesson was on
The Savior's Grace

GRACE – JUSTIFICATION - SANCTIFICATION

“And we know that justification through the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is just and true;

“And we know also, that sanctification through the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is just and true, to all those who love and serve God with all their mights, minds, and strength”

(D&C 20:30–31).

“This personal persistence in the path of obedience is something different than achieving perfection in mortality. Perfection is not, as some suppose, a prerequisite for justification and sanctification. It is just the opposite: justification (being pardoned) and sanctification (being purified) are the prerequisites for perfection. We only become perfect “in Christ” (see Moroni 10:32), not independently of Him. Thus, what is required of us in order to obtain mercy in the day of judgment is simple diligence.” --D. Todd Christofferson

Thanksgiving Day Tradition:

Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

...began in 1924.

        Now that Pono, Heidi, and

Umi are living in New York City

they are at the Macy's Parade

Pono is working on his

doctorate at Columbia University.

Thanksgiving Dinner...

Change of plans...

Since John, Julie, Jackson,

Riggy, and I are sick--

Cold and flu symptoms of

coughing, sore throat, aches

and pains--

they didn't go to join John's

family at the BYU lodge by

Mt. Timpanogos, and

I didn't go to Steve 'n Natalie's.

We had Thanksgiving Dinner

right in Julie & John's beautiful

home in Saratoga Springs...

 Thanksgiving --

We had laughter, love, and joy together.

 After enjoying the delicious food,

each one shared what we are thankful

for. So many things...family, friends,

 Heavenly Father, His Son's Atonement,

goodly parents, a safe home, help from

 family, general long-term health...the

 blessings are endless...

  ...computers, dance, band, school, cars,

    holidays, traditions, cousins, our family

     members who are in heaven...

Maddie and Jacee started a puzzle.,,

and John joined in.

Riggy built a Lego city...

Jackson and Riggy helped

assemble the deer...

Gary came over from Steve & Natalie's...

to get the pumpkin pie from Costco that

I had gotten for their dinner...

Gary brought me some apple pie from

Natalie...

Yes, it has been a wonderful

Thanksgiving day...

I am thankful to live in such a

beautiful world at

such a time as this!

l'm thankful to know where

Walt is and that he

is preparing a dwelling

place for us to be together again

when my turn on earth is over.

Family is

Everything…

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus

Christ of Latter-day Saints — President Russell

M. Nelson, President Dallin H. Oaks, and

President Henry B. Eyring — released the

following Christmas message on Friday,

 November 25:

"This Christmas season, we invite you to find

quiet moments to reflect on our Savior’s birth,

life and atoning sacrifice. Come unto Him.

Learn of Him. Look to Him for lasting peace

and divine rest. In a world that often feels

 overwhelming and contentious,

He offers peace that “passeth all understanding”

 (Philippians 4:7). He has promised:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy

laden, and I will give you rest.

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; …

and ye shall find rest unto your souls”

(Matthew 11:28–29).

We testify that as you seek our Savior’s love,

peace and rest, you will find it. You will be

blessed to feel the true spirit of Christmas, the

eternal joy that comes only from Him."

The First Presidency will host its

 annual Christmas devotional broadcast on

 Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 6 p.m. Mountain

Standard Time. The program will include

Christmas messages from Church leaders as

well as music performed by The Tabernacle

Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square.

  My day today...

Julie carried in a Christmas Tree

that was just delivered

from all of our kids

for my birthday present...

{My birthday is Dec 15}

She said the one John & she  bought

for Walt and me at a Black Friday deal

back in Nov 2017 has so much dust blown

in on it in the little shed out back that

it is totally unsalvagable for anyone!

 Rendezvousing with Gary, Steve, Natalie,

Cortney, Carter, and Madasta at the local

Fat Cats Theater for the movie

"Devotion"

...about the forgotten men

from the forgotten war...

true story from

the Korean War...

Gary looked up facts...

very accurate.

 It had such a surprising

ending for all of us.

We were in shock!

Then Natalie made

"turkey roll-ups" from

the left-over turkey--like her Mom does--
to have with

the other warmed up left-overs for

a most yummy...

...day-after-Thanksgiving supper.

Cortney had run an errand
and got back in time to eat.

Thanks, Gary, for driving me

to and from the activities

for this...

delightful day-after

Thanksgiving day...

Gary then went to an

Older Single Adult Dance

in Holiday...of which he

posted this on our family text:

"I ended up being the TA for
the dance lesson tonight.

We did the waltz. Now I've

already had two people ask

me to teach them the

steps after the lesson ended."

Eileen's comment:

These older singles are

a groovin' group!

Family is

Everything…

"My goal is to inspire people of all ages

 to become doers." --Martha Stewart

The perfect Thanksgiving weekend lunch:

Turkey 'n mayo on a roll.

Yummm!

Julie discovered that my current Christmas tree in the shed out back--even tho
it was covered in plastic, is so dusty from all the dust storms during the year
that it's unsalvageable for anyone.
So you kids are giving me a new Christmas tree for my Dec 15th birthday.
Thank you, Janie & Shawn, Gary, Steve & Natalie, David & Julie, Julie & John,
Brian & Jennifer, Jennifer & Jerry.

I love, love, love it!!!

Julie spent the day making
the song come true:
♪♫ It's Beginning to Look

                              a Lot Like Christmas ♪♪♫

Julie said Aimee found a

"killer deal" online. And Aimee

found some beautiful lavender

and blue ornaments for this new

tree to go with some of my old

lavender and blue ones.

The box said:

"King of Christmas"

This is rightly

"truth in labeling." It's a wonderful tree!

BYU COUGAS VS STANFORD CARDINAL

AT PALO ALATO

Janice's son, Michael Robertson,

my nephew is at the game.

This is his face book quote:

"Win-win! We are sooooo excited for this game. Both of our favorite college teams! When you’re an alum of both schools, you wear both sides colors!"

#GoCougs #GoCardinal #BYU #Stanford #Football #AlumofBoth

This is what I said to

Mike on face book:

"Mike, thanks for reminding me of the

game. Just turned it on as BYU made 2nd

TD...score 14-3 in first Q. So fun you are

alum of both BYU and Stanford. Love the

tradition you are building with your sons,

 (Justin and Ryan.*)

Late game when it starts at 8pm in

California. Love from Aunt Eileen."

I didn't put their names on fb, and

add here: {* ...and will also do with

Kate and Grant as they get older.}

Half-time score: 28-12

Final Score: 35-26

BYU ends regular season 7-5.

SALT LAKE CITY – BYU backup Jacob Conover replaced Jaren Hall at quarterback during the Cougars’ regular season finale against the Stanford Cardinals.

The Cardinal hosted the Cougars at Stanford Stadium on Saturday,         November 26.

With 7:08 left in the third quarter, Hall came up limping after the Cougars failed to convert on 4th & 1 from the Stanford 21-yard line. Hall went to the sideline and into the medical tent.

Now to wait for announcement

of what Bowl game...

          Family is

Everything…

   Saratoga Springs 3rd Ward Noon-2:00

I am still coughing, so didn't go to church

 today. None of us did.

I watched the Tyler & Taylor podcast

Part I and 2 on Jonah and Micah. I always

gain a lot of insights from them.

Today Tyler and Taylor had guest

Krystal Pierce, an archeologist

and expert in the Old Testament.

My favorite time of day is 4:00.

And here is sunset at 5:03...

Thanks, Maddie, for taking a

"Sunday photo" for my blog

before our six o'clock dinner.

** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.
At the end of this November 27th,

I pray you have had a

restful , peaceful, and spiritual

Sabbath Day...

I share these truths as my testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.
He loves us just
as we are at this very moment.
He knows what our potential is.
*** *** ***
Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.
*** *** ***
I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead.
Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."

***  *** *** *** ***
Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.
*** *** ***
President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.
*** *** ***
The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.
*** *** ***
The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.
*** *** ***
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.  Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.

*** *** ***
Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
