On this blog I share with family and friends my thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020.

Dedicated to our Posterity of 78: Seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and posterity to come. MONDAY,

October 12 is the day I came.

9 lbs 2 oz is what I weigh.

Walt & Eileen, Mary Jane,

are the family with whom I stay.

We had just lived in our new home

on Burton Avenue for 2 months.

Probably 1971 - age 2

I thought
this Maddox Tradition began
October 15, 2022 but
then I saw this post
from six months earlier...

SATURDAY, APRIL 23, 2022

Family is Everything...

Steve and Gary drove me
to Maddox in Brigham City
for lunch.
Hot homemade rolls and
corn pones with raspberry
butter are served as soon
as we sit down.
Gary got fried chicken.
Steve got rib steak after
he found out the Prime Rib
isn't ready until 5pm.
Thanks, Gary and Steve.
It was a great 5 hours together!
So it began in 2022, but
in April...
This Maddox Tradition expanded
to include all the family
who could come on
October 15, 2022
Now #9 time:
Rendezvousing with
whoever can come each time...
Today May 2, 2026 wasJanie, Gary & Jennie,
Steve, David, and me.
to have lunch at
Maddox...
Julie B., we are sad you
couldn't come at last
minute, but know this
is still your phase of
life to help with your
son's teenage events.

However I shared with
our carload some fun
things Walt & I got to
do as empty nesters...
...which you & Dave
will become after
Will's graduation in
June 2027...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence. He loves us just as we are at this very moment.

I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead.
Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."
