while Daddy got our
home ready to live in.
He had bought the
McBurney Country
School teacherage
(where we had lived 4 years)
at auction
for 1,000 dollars
and had it moved
the six miles
into town. ~ ~ ~ ~

For us, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Moroni is a prophet from the Book of Mormon and the last one to write on the gold plates.

Moroni lived many years ago on the American continent and witnessed the destruction of his people. Before he died, he hid the gold plates so they would come forth in the Lord’s time.
Many years later, Moroni appeared as an angel to the prophet Joseph Smith and showed him where the plates were located, which were later translated as the Book of Mormon.
For us, Moroni represents the fulfillment of God’s promises, the restoration of the gospel, and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
