PROVO CITY CENTER TEMPLE
Janie took me to the 4pm session
The Provo City Center Temple was dedicated
on Sunday, March 20, 2016, by Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of
the Twelve Apostles. It was dedicated in three sessions, becoming the 150th
operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the
16th in Utah.
Key details regarding the dedication
include:
- Dedication Date: March 20,
2016.
- Location: Built from the shell of the
destroyed 1898 Provo Tabernacle.
- Open House: Conducted
from January 15 to March 5, 2016, following a 4-year construction project.
- Significance: It was built following a devastating fire in
2010 that destroyed the interior of the historic tabernacle.
