On this blog I share with family and friends my daily thoughts, doings, what interests me, and--at times--tributes to my eternal sweetheart, Walt, who graduated to heaven on 8-21-2020.

Dedicated to our seven children--Janie, Gary, Steve, David, Julie, Brian, Jen, their spouses, our 39 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and posterity to come.

 Institute today

Christmas Party

The cultural hall was

filled with families -

merriment and fun...

so it WAS

merry and bright...

Then ended with

...the the inspiring

Silent Interview focusing

on Jesus.

Thank you to all who helped

to make this successful

ward event happen...

and edited the Silent Interview.

Julie Petersen, chairman 

John who helped her

Camie and Troy Williams

who also helped her.

Tammy Ballard who helped 

with decorations. 

And all the ward members

who came and brought so

many yummy appetizers

and desserts.

the Savior means to her.

He died in 1982 at age 69 

of colon cancer.

1929-2023

Funeral - Bountiful, Utah

All seven of our kids together

for Uncle Dale's funeral

Last time all together was 

 three years ago at their 

Dad's funeral.

 Cheyenne Cole sang 

"White Christmas"

She has a beautiful singing voice.

come forth on Resurrection Day. 

He is reunited in the Spirit World

with his eternal sweetheart, Vicki.

And also reunited with his Dad & Mom--

Ray & Jane Petersen, and... 

...his two sisters--Bonnie and Phyllis

and brother, Walt.

Roger & Deanne Dixon.

Roger was Dale's classmate from

the first grade through their first

two years of college at 

University of Idaho, then

they both served in the 

Argentina Mission from Sep 1959

to March 1972.

{The age requirement then

was age 20 to serve a mission.}

Then they both went to BYU when

they returned from their missions.

These cousins spent a lot of 

time together at many

Thanksgivings at Grama Jane's home.

Susie is the daughter of

Austin & Tess Prescott Julian, 

and a cousin of Dale, and Walt.

Family is Everything…

 I didn't go to Saratoga Springs 3rd Ward

today, I went to the BYU 84th Ward

in the Tanner Building on the

BYU Campus.

Steve came and drove me to the

10:30 Brunch with Brian & Jennifer,

Gary, Jen, and Julie at

Denny's in Saratoga Springs.

Then Steve drove Brian & Jen 

to the Salt Lake Airport for their

2:30 flight back to Nashville,

with a layover in Denver.

Jen then drove Gary and me

to Provo where we gave

Sarah a ride home from the

Tanner building after her

ward ended, and she had

finished teaching her lesson.

At Sarah's apartment at the

Glenwood, Jen and Sarah started

the rolls mixing in the bread maker

before we went back 

to the Tanner building

for Seth's Sacrament Meeting.

There were several Christmas carols

sung, partaking of the Sacrament,

 three messages shared

about the Savior,

the ward choir sang a Christmas carol,

then Seth and a college coed

ended the meeting with a

violin duet of 

The First Noel.

We went back to Sarah's apartment

where Jen and Sarah finished

the preparations for the

Sunday roast beef dinner...

The Brewer's  birthday present for me

had arrived in the mail on Saturday.

A beautiful, soft, luxurious Minky Coutour

blanket in my favorite color!  What a way

to be spoiled for my 85th birthday, which

is in 5 days.

   My birthday week has begun,,,

** *I am so thankful for The Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of  Jesus Christ that makes this Great Plan operational.

At the end of this December 10th,

I pray you have had a

restful , peaceful, and spiritual

Sabbath Day...

I share these truths as my testimony to you...

Heavenly Father lives and knows us each by name. He loves us and wants us to return to Him and Heavenly Mother when we leave this mortal existence.  

He loves us just 

as we are at this very moment. 

He knows what our potential is.

Jesus Christ came to earth as The Only Begotten of the Father and fulfilled the Atonement. He is the Redeemer of all.

I am thankful for the guidance of the Holy Ghost as the third member of the Godhead. 

Walt said to me once: "I look forward to thanking the Holy Ghost in person when I get to Heaven. I don't think we give Him enough credit for all He does."

Joseph Smith was foreordained to be the Prophet of the Restoration.  He is the Restorer of all things.

President Russell M. Nelson is the Living Prophet today for all the world.

The Bible is "the Word of God as far as it is translated correctly" and is a Testament of the Divinity of Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon is the Word of God and is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It is the most correct book of any book on earth.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the True Church on the earth today.  Because of the restored Temple Ordinances families can be sealed for eternity.

Of these truths I testify in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.
