Walt said they gave him a good workout today at physical therapy.
When we were ready to leave, she brought him out to the top of the ramp to sit out in the sunshine for a while.
Now we're about to call it a day.
April 21, 2015 - Tuesday
Visiting Teaching Day - "The attributes of Jesus Christ chosen for April are being without guile and hypocrisy..."
I loved this painting they chose for the lesson. I have never seen this of the Savior with all these children.
Children are the best example of "being without guile."

This is the photo of Walt I took as he was going to water the front and back lawns. The tulips are still looking beautiful.
Last night when I turned the sprinklers off, I noticed the tulips were all closed up. I didn't know they did that at night.

Twin Falls Temple Day
We left early for Walt to exchange his new shoes for a half-size smaller. Now they feel better.

We didn't get back in time for the Burley 3rd Ward's Dinner honoring the seniors in our ward: Kennadee King, McKay Gerratt, Kelby Dayley, ______ Weeks, and there may have been some others. The Roskelleys told us it was a very nice evening.
Walt had physical therapy in the morning because he had his 2-month check up with Dr. Crane this afternoon.
Here is his 20th Physical Therapy visit to the Cassia Regional Medical Center.
April 24, 2015 - Friday
What a special day! We have 3 family birthdays today.
Gary is the big 5-0. Here he is 50 years ago in Talihina, Oklahoma with his 2-year-old sister, Mary Jane "Janie."
John is 41. Here he's helping Maddie at bowling.
Kimble is the magic "16." Here he is with his brother, Carter, last July 31st at their sister, Kelsey's wedding.
April 25, 2015 - Saturday
Another special day. Today Jerry is 41. Happy Birthday.
Saturday afternoon, Walt did some yard work. When he came in the house he was extra tired and developed an irregular heart beat so he thought he should go to the ER to get an EKG. Dr. McClain saw him. Everything is okay.
April 26, 2015 - Sunday
Stake Conference Day. One of the highlights was that Bonnie Jones, wife of the stake president; Renae Preston, wife of the first counselor, and Candace King, wife of the second counselor, were assigned to speak. They gave tender talks about motherhood, gratitude, and the Savior and His Resurrection.
Then, of course, our current stake presidency (who have served for five years) always give messages to inform, inspire, and uplift us--Chad Jones, president; Tim Preston, first counselor; Tracy King, second counselor.
Here are just brief sketches of their messages:
President King gave examples of how the Gospel changes people's lives for the better and testified that the Church is true.
President Preston shared 3Nephi 27:19021 where the Lord outlined His doctrine. Faith in Jesus Christ gives us power to do all things and His Grace is sufficient. 2 Corinthians 12:9; Ether 12:27.
President Michael Owsley, (from Hagerman) First Counselor in the Idaho Twin Falls Mission told us that more senior couple missionaries are needed. Some say they can't leave their cats.
He asked us to use the missionaries to help bring people back.
President Jones asked Paul Young to share some thoughts before he spoke. I will quote him in the closing lines of this post.
President Jones thanked everyone. He told that when he was a teenager he worked for his Dad's Construction company. One day on the job he got a sliver in a place he couldn't get it out on his own. By the time he asked his Mom to get it out, it had festered and was very painful. When his Mom pulled it out with the tweezers the pain was instantly gone.
He likened this to repenting and how the burden we feel over our wrong doings can be relieved through confession to our Priesthood leader--the Bishop. The Bishop does not do the forgiving but he can guide us as to how the Savior will forgive us.
He shared the steps of repentance--recognize, remorse, confession, forsake, resolve.
He testified of the cleansing power of repentance.
He cited these scriptures: Doctrine and Covenants 58:42-43;
45:3-5.
He asked us to take the opportunity to lay at the Savior's feet our sins. He is our advocate with the Father.
He closed testifying of his love for The Savior.
We pray you have had a restful and peaceful Sabbath Day.
As Paul Young, our stake patriarch, shared today. Recently in a blessing he gave he used a phrase he has never heard before: "You will experience atoning relief," which he has pondered for many days since.
He feels that some of the meanings are "relief from sin, from sorrow, from discouragement, from depression." He has asked the Lord how it is done. He keeps pondering it. He does not have an answer, but feels it can come from our faith.
He prays we will all feel "atoning relief" in our lives from our faith in Jesus Christ.
This is also our prayer. We pray we will all have a calming and reassuring feeling about the Savior's atonement.
We testify that everything revolves around the love that Heavenly Father and the Savior have for us.
In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
