Precious time with family - not a time to blog.
Janie & Shawn and family arrived Wed, Aug 28.
Will share a few photos and blog after they leave Wed, Sep 4...
L-R: Shawn, Janie, Little Mikey, Ashley, Grampa Walt, Sam, Ashley, Aimee with her husband Michael, and Katie...
We've been to the Artisians, the Maya Museum, the Mercado...
The first night here they did a dance workshop for 3 wards...
The next morning, Thursday, Aug 29 they came to the temple while we were on our 5am to 2pm shift. Heidi, Sam, and Ashley did baptisms for the dead...
Janie and Shawn, and Michael Mecham did a session, Aimee did confirmations with the first three...
That afternoon most of them hiked up to the El Boqueron Volcano...
(can't find photos right now)
Friday morning, Aug 30, before our Noon to 9:50pm shift, we did the Mercado and Museum....
Guess what we did all day Saturday?
Yes, the Costa del Sol or "The Beach of the Sun" on the Pacific Ocean...
Friends from our ward offered their beach home, pool, cabana, and beach front for the day...
...not just any beach home--the most beautiful one we've ever seen!
Fun in the sun at it's best...
Boogie boards added to the fun part...
We got some last minute photos at sunset...
Shawn found some great drift wood...
Daniel got some settings that showed the cloud-covered sunset...
Sunday, Sam received his patriarchal blessing from his Grandfather...
It is a great blessing for a great young man!
Took three suitcases full of things needed by an Orphanage..."The House of Love and Hope"...
Then a Mormon Sunday Dinner at 6:00 p.m. to break our fast...
They loved the roast beef and Grama's hot, homemade rolls...
Hope you have had a peaceful, restful Sabbath Day.
We're off to the Copan, Honduras Ruins Monday and Tuesday...
......so will post more next week.
